[ooc[\]from the prd on splash weapons: "You can instead target a specific grid intersection. Treat this as a ranged attack against AC 5. However, if you target a grid intersection, creatures in all adjacent squares are dealt the splash damage, and the direct hit damage is not dealt to any creature." The ability says when an opponent makes a melee attack against the swashbuckler, she can spend 1 panache point and can expend a use of an attack of opportunity to attempt to parry that attack. The swashbuckler makes an attack roll as if she were making an attack of opportunity. If her attack roll is greater than the roll of the attacking creature, the attack automatically misses. For each size category the attacking creature is larger than the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler takes a –2 penalty on her attack roll. The swashbuckler must declare the use of this ability after the creature’s attack is announced, but before that attack roll is made. Immediately after a swashbuckler performs a successful parry, as long as she has 1 panache point she can make an attack as an immediate action against the creature whose attack she blocked, provided that creature is within her reach.

Looks like I goofed that one badly...sorry GM.

Why of course sir! One can not properly mix chemicals or attain the proper knowledge from an autopsy with filth under you finger nails. However let us first remove these cadavers to a less effluent part of the sewer system. I would like to see what I may learn from them. Something else to consider the next time we face a warforged opponent. If we can prepare to intercept the final messenger we can deprive our enemies of additional intelligence.

Bridge Map

Resolved to your foul-smelling fates, you move through the valve cluster quickly to avoid another encounter with agents of the Lord of Blades... or a stream of sludge. You duck beneath another archway and into a broader tunnel piping a much larger stream of filth from above, carrying it out through another grating to the Dagger River, you would presume. You spot no sign of ambushers or anyone's passing this way in some time, but again, you are faced with only one direction.

You turn to what you presume to be North, making your way along the slippery walkway that whatever guild uses to maintain these tunnels. You squint into the light, scanning the filthy walls for any sign of the entry way marked on the map. If what Lady Elaydren said is correct, the door will not have been used for centuries...

Tierney, Adir, and Jarot; whose eyes seem to be able to penetrate the deeper, darker shadows created by Servitor's light, immediately spots a glimmer of something set into the sewer wall. Whatever it is, it's caked over with dark, slime-like filth. Perhaps it is the doorway? The glimmer appears to be silver, though given the environment and the fact that it still shines even through the caked-on muck, it is more likely mithral!

"So much filth. How do they stand it up there?"

Adir trudges along, trying to keep the map as clean as possible. He washes his hands before he handles it each time. His waterskin doesn't seem to run out of water. Create Water as needed.

"I think there is something here." He points out the spot where the glimmer is coming from. To clear some of the sludge, he casts Create Water above it several times.
