That wasn't being ineffective that was bad dice rolls...but maybe I'll stand on the other side of the party the first few times someone uses a missile weapon.

Checking in, won't be posting in the gameplay thread until after I have the alias page filled out, mainly because my lunch is almost over. Should be working on the alias in about 3 hours.
GM Aarvid
No worries. I just finished making tokens and first map.
We will spend today and tomorrow getting the party together etc. Want to make sure everyone makes it to gameplay thread and has their PC sheets and status bar updated before starting in earnest.
Looks like we have 3+4+4+4+5+5 so that should work fine.

I had nearly all the crunch in my profile, and then paizo ate my edit and I forgot to copy it, well at least it wasn't the background that got eatten, as I haven't started writing it yet.
I'm going to bed and will finish the profile tomorrow.

Profile should be finished, there is various information I have left out of her backstory that I believe to be true, but do not wish to openly disclose and these details should never come up in roleplay anyway.

Also, I'd like to note I changed Andraste's avatar to one closer to her actual appearance, and to not confuse with Kyra, being Cheliaxian she should appear fairly different from Kyra anyway.

I just reread the last few posts, please disregard my last gameplay post. I don't have a clue as why I thought that spoiler about the noise was meant for me. mea cupla.

Jory you can hear them but it looks like you would have to move over to see a pair of them...even then they have cover from the bushes. You go before Andrazi, so he is not blocking at least.
GM Aarvid
Going to be driving (on vacation) tomorrow and the next day, so my posts may be brief and infrequent depending on hotel access. I will try to get us to the next scene. Feel free to RP in between.
GM Aarvid
Yep...working on my ipad with google docs of any sort is not playing nice. I will not be home until Saturday sometime, and hotel PC did not allow google either.
I will keep trying but apologize for the lack of map this fight. This is a very minor fight...but will have map working as soon as I am home again.
GM Aarvid
Getting on a plane in a couple hours for another business trip. May need some help with the map this week until Friday (depending on hotel PC and network).

In case anyone missed it, I'm DMing a PBP for the Siege of the Diamond City PFS special. This is a timed event so you'll need to be posting regularly but anyone here that's interested is welcomed to join.
GM Aarvid
Thanks for the invite...I would love to play but with my crazy work travel schedule, I cannot commit to the posting rate.
I will be flying back home tomorrow and should get us moving a bit quicker on our current combat here.
GM Aarvid
Looks like it ate my post from yesterday also. Will update with Jory Andrazi and Aelfward actions tonight. At late business conference.
GM Aarvid
Flying home late tomorrow and will get map cleaned up once home.
Posts will be short until Saturday.
GM Aarvid
Almost done...finally.
Your managed to pull 3 combats into one big one, so it took longer than usual. The rest of this floor should be a cake-walk.

Friday through Monday my posting will be minimal as I will be attending DunDraCon and playing PFS nearly nonstop. Please GM Andraste as needed, and since I've used up all of my second level spells she will be less interested in going toe to toe with the more impressive enemies.
GM Aarvid
I am on vacation travel this week, so my posts may be short depending on phone/ web access.
GM Aarvid
BTW - we should be on target to finish around the mid-end of April...depending on how things go.
That may allow you to make the 2nd round table (or a late start first round table) on Gameday2 with these characters. We should have a better idea by the end of the week.

There three things I would like to do here but the first I don't think I can do, the second I'm not sure I can do, and the third is nowhere near as useful as the first two.
1. I'd liked to use my silver two handed flail to hit the flying dog. It is only 5 feet in the air and I think I could hit it. The problem is with Kyra prone, the pit, Jory prone, and what looks like statues in the alcoves north and south of the pit I don't think there is anywhere I can move and reach the dog.
2. If I can't do 1 I'd like to take a 5 foot step to the doorway and hurl a smoke pellet at the doorway threshold between Nuala and Jory. Now I don't I don't know if I can do this because while taking an object out of my handy haversack is only a move action you can't move and take a five foot step. I don't if that means any move action or actual movement.
3.I could drop my flail, take a 5ft step and shoot the hound/dog with a cold iron/silver arrow. This I could do no problem.
GM Aarvid
1. You can reach the dog from any adjacent square. The statue squares are open but you would be squeezed....with associated penalties. I know you can use the same square if prone character is uncon, but if just prone, I am not sure. Anyone else know?
2. You can take a move action and a 5' step...just not movement and 5' step. So this is legit.
3. No problem with this either.
So any are viable...1. You may be squeezed if you attack from the statue. Ironically, you successfully prevented the trap door from sealing Andrazi in the pit...but that prevents you from standing directly under the dog.

So I am scouting and no one is following?
This is pretty messed up. From now on, assume I go no where until everyone is within fifty feet of each other.
GM Aarvid
You are almost done, depending on what you do. Only a couple rooms left. When some say they are reading books or carvings and some are scouting, that will spread people out unless I am told otherwise.

We are just burning resources spread out as a gaggle and all in different rooms.
After this encounter we can camp outside and investigate the remainder the next day.
GM Aarvid
I am on business travel to Seattle this week, so my posts may be shorter than usual. I may also need help updating maps.
There really are just a couple rooms left, which are optional (for xp at least). However, the main concern is you have collected very little of the treasure thus far, so that may take some retracing.
I think with luck we could wrap by the end of the week or mid next week.
