So I'll be taking 20, plus 16 more the first time ongoing damage triggers?
Arayas screams in pain as the wight's claw tears along her flesh. Gritting her teeth she tries to get away from the foul beast...
Disengage: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Pushing the beast back she notches an arrow aiming at it...
Attack VS AC: 1d20 + 4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 4 + 2 = 17
That's a miss, but does 4 damage I believe. Use my once per battle ability to knock that down to an even roll for double shot
Attack VS AC: 1d20 + 4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 4 + 2 = 24

Also, aren't Dante and I up too, since the vampire's deded? (And it's still escalation 2, right?)
Still currently Escalation 2. I want to keep the END OF ROUND as a barrier because sometimes things happen, and in between round is the best time for me

Henrick steps back out of the reach of the undead creature threatening him and intones a few dwarven phrases that roughly translate to: Dear G*ds, please help these unbelievers.

Dante takes 9 thanks to Roll With It. There's really no reason not to use that power, since the Rogue loses momentum anyway just for being hit.
Dante reaches up to grab the bottom of the heavy piano and pulls himself out from underneath it, before quickly standing up and attacking the wight's flank...
Tumbling Strike: 1d20 + 8 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 3 = 26 for damage: 4d6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 1, 3) + 4 + (1, 2) = 18
save vs ongoing: 1d20 ⇒ 15
He then takes a moment to shake off the negative energy affecting him.
Dernaras Mihadorien
Do we only need one save vs ongoing, or one per source of ongoing? I rolled two last turn (made one, failed one), but saw you only rolled one for Arayas.
Free Recovery: 4d10 + 5 ⇒ (9, 7, 1, 5) + 5 = 27
Reroll that 1: 1d10 ⇒ 6
(Isn't Cure Wounds only a quick action to cast? Also, does this recovery get the +6 from your nifty ability?)
Dernaras Mihadorien
DM said yes on the +6, so HP are now 70/76 and no ongoing. Thanks!
Dernaras draws strength from the dwarf's mysterious words, managing to wrest her spear free from the vampire just in time to nearly finish what Dante started. The runes on its tip glow red-hot as the elf-woman drives it toward the wight, dealing the monstrosity a nasty wound.
Attack vs AC (escalation): 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 3 = 30

Henrick the Priest
Henrick, I think you have a standard from last round, but also Cure Wounds is a ranged to it would normally provoke. For simplicity I'm going to call it a wash and continue on as is.
That's why I disengaged first. Did I do it wrong? Also, the Cure Wounds spell is not a quick action, that's the Heal spell. The heal spell allows you to take a regular recovery. You get to do it as a free action on my turn, but you still have to spend the resource. The Cure Wounds is a regular action, but you don't have to spend the recovery. At least, that's what I think.
Henrick the Priest
Sorry, just double checked Cure Wounds and it's in fact a quick action. So my previous standard would just have been to bash the wight in front of me with my hammer.

Henrick the Priest turns to the undead chasing him around the room. "Ya know that wight is an old dwarven word? Means person or man, originally pronounced wicht, with a heavy emphasis on the "cchhhh". Those old dwarves really liked their phlegm. And you know what, wight? Man, am I tired of all of you!"
He turns his hammer upside down and stamps it twice against the ground. Searing light shoots up from the ground, enveloping all the undead in a cloud of holy light.

The elf glances around and sees that only two wights remain. The moment the last wight is dealt with, Dante runs to the stage and leaps onto it in order to sit next to Lady Smallwood. "Elizabeth? All you all right?" he asks, grasping her hand to help wake her up from whatever sort of daze she is in.
Dernaras Mihadorien
Dernaras moves between the corpses checking to be sure the last of the enemies are destroyed, then turns her attention to Henrick and Arayas. She looks them over, noting their wounds. "Have you more healing?" she asks Henrick, her eyes moving between him and the human next to him.
As Dante runs up onto the stage, she turns quickly. "Be careful!" she exclaims. "It may be a trap!"
DM, do you want our icon dice (complete with shiny new fourth relationship point)?
Pirate GM
Not yet on the icon dice, still have today to finish off story wise.

He smiles, after glancing around for any ambushes or other traps first. "I'm just glad I found you. Things have gotten rather... frigid outside. Finding a way home will be difficult."
He turns to the dwarf. "Can you help her, Henrick?"
Pirate GM
With Henrick's gentle touch Elizabeth Smallwood regains much of her composure and is able to explain at least in part what is going on...
"They've kept me pretty out of after they kidnapped me but I did gleam some bits here and there. They needed 7 of us, I'm not sure why but I think they were getting close..."
"There were seemingly 3 of them in charge... A hooded figure with burning red eyes and some sort of black bird insignia... He seemed to be in charge of the bandits."
"Some sort of mad monk... his ravings..." Elizabeth shudders. "Something about his beard just wasn't right. I couldn't exactly say, but it still bothers me."
"The 3rd had pale white skin and fangs, I suspect he's the sire of all these damn vampires" Elizabeth swears, unusually.

"That was quite brave of you, my dear," Dante comments. "We'll get you out of here. However, I take it all three of these characters will be unlikely to just let us leave."

The party is able to recover several items of value from the Vampire and the wights. It seems they has an odd fascination for magical headgear:
Dernaras is able to claim a Champion Helm of the Undaunted Hero
+2 MD & (recharge 6): When your turn starts, roll a save against one ongoing save ends effect. Quirk: Favors traditional battle hymns.
Henrick: Your onyx glows with increased power and the bonus rises to +2 hit/damage.
Additionally you are able to make sure of a Champion Helm of Psychic Armor.
+2 MD & (recharge 16): When an attack that targets Mental Defense hits you, cancel the attack’s nondamage effects against you. Quirk: Won’t stop going on about “the amazing dream I had last night.”
Dante finds a particularly Jaunty hat.
The hat provides +3 MD, however if an attack against your MD is a crit, the bonus becomes 0 until the end of the battle. Quirk: Becomes unreliable with forgettable tasks.
---
While clearly not a seasoned adventurer, having escaped (at least partially) from the bad guy's clutches at least once already, Elizabeth is not in particular danger going with you, but neither will she contribute meaningfully to combat.
Your initial attempts to go anywhere are however foiled. The theater just loops around on its self. After piling the rotting corpses as far away as possible you are able to get some rest. In the ?morning? the doors of the theater stand open and appear to lead back into other parts of the house.
Where to? What's the plan etc?

Dernaras relaxes her grip on her spear and approaches the other elf slowly, putting one hand on his shoulder comfortingly. "Ilnarin, virma."
Turning back to the group, she motions to the remains of their breakfast. "Are you hungry? We have a bit of extra food, if you'd like to eat with us. And then we must decide our next course of action..."
