Up until very recently -- like this afternoon -- I could go to this url

http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizoInc/pathfinder/adventureCardGame

and I would see FOUR forums:
General Discussion
Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussions
Homebrew and House Rules
Adventure Card Guild

As of tonight, I am NOT seeing the last forum, but instead I find it here:

http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizoInc/organizedPlay/pathfinderSocie ty

Is this an accident, or a permanent change?

I strongly urge you to change it back.
The card guild is mostly of interest to the adventure card game players.
Questions from the first two forums often spill over into the guild forum and vis versa.
We want the card game players to be familiar with the guild.
And besides -- I spend about 50% (no lie) of my online time on the adventureCardGame page. It is a major hassle to have to go the society page to see the card guild updates.

I'm fairly sure that it was actually previously in both places, as in, you could find it as a sub-forum of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game forum and as a sub-forum of the Pathfinder Society Forum. If I'm recalling that correctly, it seems that whatever made it do that stopped. (Intentionally or not, I do not know.)

Sovereign Court Organized Play Coordinator

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Card Guild is part of Pathfinder Society and is ran by PFS Venture-Officers, so having it located with the rest of Society stuff is actually the way it should be.

That being said, we had redirect links to get to it from a variety of ways. During the great overhaul of this afternoon, some of those redirects broke. Give us a day or so to get them back in place, as Chris is working as fast as she can.

Any ETA on this?

Traffic is much lower on the card game organized play forum, I think, because it is not visible with the other card forums.

Thanks

I hope the current subheading in the Rules forum in the Adventure Card game section is not the permanent solution to this issue.

It was much better when the Card Guild displayed on the the Adventure Card Game forums page (in addition to whereever else it displayed). The current situation is definitely hurting traffic, I feel.

Chris is out of the office currently, I'll let her know about this thread when she gets back so she can address your questions.

For what it's worth, I echo elcoderdude's position. I have the PFS forums collapsed and I don't visit them at all when browsing through the main forum listing, as I don't play PFS. However, this collapses the PFSACG forums as well (which I also don't currently play due to lack of a group to play with, but oftentimes I can chime in on questions there as I still grab all the scenarios). By not having this forum available in the main ACG forum listing, it effectively ceases existing for me, and I do not go out of my way to visit it or post there.

By having it available in the main ACG forum listing (as an actual subforum which shows its threads, not just a link to the PFS forum), I check out the threads there and contribute when I feel I can.

I imagine I'm not the only super lazy person out there who doesn't want to do an extra click to check out a forum that's only tangentially related to my current interests :)
