Slow progression question

I have a 6th level character that has played one scenario at this level. I want to start him on the slow progression track once I hit 7th level. I was thinking about playing a module this evening, but now I'm wondering if I will still be able to go on the slow track at 7th level if I do this. I know the rules say that when you go up a level, you can choose to do that track at normal or slow progression. When I go up this time, I will be a third of the way through the level already. Can I still go slow track?

No, you can only go slow progression for the whole of a level. So you would need to play two more scenarios to reach 8, then could switch to slow.

Darn, I was afraid of that. Thanks for the quick response. I will just need to bow out of the module tonight.

I know this guy has the choice of still playing and not going slow track, but effectively this rule is causing him not to play tonight.
