I am working on a potential pc for a kingmaker game I will be joining for book 2 (level 4)
The idea is a gnome multiclassing bard and ninja. The latter mostly for the ki-pool to qualify for bewildering koan.
He will be more or less a non-combatant, having a low strength and no weapon finesse.
Instead I plan on using the flagbearer feat and inspire courage to buff the party, the bewildering koan to debuff enemies and movement to provide flanking for our melees.
The first two feats will be flagbearer and bewildering koan. For level 5 I am torn between skill focus: bluff or casual illusionist to up the bewildering koan DC.
As alternate racial trait I will be taking gift of tongues because that gives me +1 to bluff and an additional language each time I take linguistics. That's good because bewildering koan is language dependant.
As spell I think about beguiling gift, because it fits the concept. For that he would carry around flasks of strong liquor labelled as healing potions.
Gnome Ninja 2/bard 2
Feats: flagbearer, bewildering koan
Str: 6
Dex: 14
Con: 14
Int: 12
Wis: 10
Cha: 20 (including level 4 increase)
What do you think about this and do you have any advice?
Should I go classic bard or take an archetype?
To be able to flank I need a melee weapon in one hand and I need a hand free for the flag. Should I don a spiked light shield to be able to switch between threatening and defending with the shield?

That's certainly true (although Mindchemist can increase their intelligence). Still recommend Breadth of Knowledge. I like it because you don't have to put ranks in every single knowledge but can still get some pretty high bonuses.
