No spoilers! Question about "The Devil We Know" series

Silver Crusade 4/5

I was looking at maybe picking up this 4 part series from season 1 to use with my local group. My question is how closely the 4 parts tie in to each other. Is it a strong continuity, where each piece picks up right where the previous one left off? Or is it more along the lines of adventures that take place months later that just happen to be somewhat related to the earlier adventures?

I know that all PFS adventures are meant to be playable as stand alone. But our group is small enough that if it would make more sense to tie everything together and play these back to back with all the same characters, we could probably do that, with a little effort. But if the continuity between them isn't that tight, then we won't bother coordinating things that closely.

Thanks in advance.

Parts 1 & 2 should be played in order, but that's a suggestion not a rule. A faction mission in Part 2 assumes that the PCs have met the villain in Part 1. Part 4 should be played last. Beyond that, do them any way you like. They are meant to be played in order, but playing them out-of-order does not preclude the enjoyment of the series. If you have the ability to play them in order, do so. If you can't, it's not the end of the world. Game on!

IMO, parts 1-2 are tied together well. The way it is written you can easily play part II immediately after, or they could be a small time-delay. Either is relatively easy to pull off. My preference is to run them back-to-back.

Going into part III, the rules state you must play it and part IV in order and only after having completed I & II. Again, there is an assumption of some time passing between II & III, but can easily be adjusted to as little as a day or two.

In part IV you reconnect with an agent you met in part I so there is some linkage.

This being said, they are written in such a way that any part could be run independently.

Overall, I think the four should be played sequentially with the same PC's. If the GM prepares all four in advance, you can incorporate some foreshadowing for future events. Adjust the minor time lags between scenarios and they can essentially play as a single mega-module.

There were some threads in the GM forum with spoiler/specifics for these scenarios, but not sure if they are archived or not. I've had a lot of fun running these. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info.
