My question on this feat is on the wording for the damage calculation. Which one is it?
1. (# of LoH uses expended) * (1d6+charisma modifier)
2. (# of LoH uses expended * 1d6) + charisma modifier

Benefit: When you hit with a charge attack, you can expend all of your remaining uses of lay on hands to deal extra damage equal to 1d6 per use of lay on hands expended + your Charisma bonus. This damage comes from holy power and is not subject to damage reduction, energy immunities, or energy resistances.

Option 2 methinks.
That's what I thought too.
I'm not sure if I'd use this feat regardless of the damage order though... I like to save at least 1 LoH use for Hero's Defiance just in case the situation goes south.

This is exactly why I like this feat so much. It forces me to make a really fun choice. Do I hold onto my contingency LoH or do I burn everything I have left and go all-in for one tremendous attack?

I was just looking for a rules interpretation because I read it as
Option 3: 1d6 * (# LoH expended + Cha modifier)
(I assume a Paladin would have at least 18 or higher at this point)
At level 13 giving up 10 LoH for a +10d6+4 damage vs 60d6 of healing, another 4d6 to the damage sounds fair.
At this point a rogue adds 7d6 for sneak and doesn't give anything up other than setting up the condition to get the damage.
With a +5 cha and extra LoH feat a +18d6 with power attack and G.Vital strike (Smite even) sounds ridiculous though. (or does charge take precedence over the vital strike?)

(or does charge take precedence over the vital strike?)
Yeah, you can either charge or vital strike. Vital Strike is a standard action in and of itself, and as such can't be combined with other types of attack actions.
Power attack works with it, and you can have smite going as well, but you couldn't use this feat w/ vital strike.

You can on a mounted charge. ;)
