Chronicle looks good, thank you for running :-)

Finalize a Report: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Grand Lodge

I'm actually going to sit out the next round. I won't be playing much until I finish GMing this huge batch of evergreens.

Grand Lodge

Double Move. Store the dire flail, draw a longbow.

Grand Lodge

Does that also mean I am out of orange's reach?

Grand Lodge

Withdraw

Grand Lodge

Did anybody take an AoO on Takahiro when he stepped forward? I need to spread those out, or I'm going to end up unconscious before I even get to rage.

Grand Lodge

@GM: I love the way you just did the tokens for mirror image. I am so stealing that idea! Are orange and purple both on the ground, such that I can be adjacent to both at the same time?

Grand Lodge

@GM: Red and orange just showed us 10- and 15-ft. reach, respectively?

Grand Lodge

Double move

Grand Lodge

Skug follows Eadie's lead, "You have plan? Skug do too!"

Actions:
Move Movement
Standard Ready an attack (and rage); Trigger Enemy in range

Rolls:
Dire Flail: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 28 Bludgeoning, Silver: 1d8 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15

Grand Lodge

Skug looks around at the swinging chains and dried blood, and listens to the excruciating moans, then claps Eadie on the back and grins at her, "You safe with Skug. Skug break chains."

Grand Lodge

Skug draws a red-bladed gladius, tosses it in the air, then catches and sheathes it in a single, fluid motion. "Smoke do once. Man told lies."

Grand Lodge

Skug rushes in front of Eadie and takes an enormous backswing. "Brax break!"

Grand Lodge

Skug straps on his climbing kit and looks for a place to secure everyone's ropes. "Skug like climb."

Same here. One day I love it, the next day I'm wondering how I could have been so crazy.

Grand Lodge

Same as Oleander, I'm going to wait to see the result of others' actions before choosing which arrows to shoot.

Grand Lodge

Can anybody identify the tables/creatures? Do they have hardness? I have adamantine arrows if that will help destroy them. I also have a potion of cure serious wounds and a scroll of cure critical wounds.

@GM: Could I touch the wall next to me with stone shape and cause it to close the alcove, blocking off the other table?

Grand Lodge

Since the trap has been identified by the time my action triggers, I'm going to move to a different spot.

Rethinking his tactics, Skug moves into the corner, drawing a longbow along the way.

Grand Lodge

Do the tables try to grab Eadie and Eglantine before my action triggers?

Skug may be a moron out of combat, but fighting is the one thing he knows well. If the actions played out the way I think they did, I'd assume the witch is drawing us into a trap. And I'm trying to kill her, not help her :-Þ

Grand Lodge

@Eadie: Is that the square you wanted?

Grand Lodge

My interpretation has always been no. I wasn't limited to a standard action at the start of my turn. Along the same lines, I also count movement before and after a readied action for whether a PC can 5-ft. step.

Grand Lodge

No, I will not be able to attack. I'm readying a plain old move action, but hoping to take an AoO at the end.

Grand Lodge

Skug sprints to the end of the hallway, then pauses before charging the annoying hag.

Actions:
Move Movement
Standard Ready movement; Trigger The hag takes a standard action

I'm going to move right next to her, but this way I prevent her from taking a 5-ft. step to cast safely.

Grand Lodge

Is Skug hasted too?

Grand Lodge

Could we possibly color code the enemies? I can't tell who is who.

Singing horribly off key and grinning, Skug goes to play like it's recess and the creature in front of Oleander is the weak kid everybody picks on. "Skug kills quick. Brax kills fast. Skug bites deep. Brax hits hard."

Actions:
Free Rage
Full Round Full Attack
Free 5-ft. step (forward if I don't drop the enemy)

Rolls:
Dire Flail 1: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34 Bludgeoning, Silver: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Dire Flail 2: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (10) + 17 = 27 Bludgeoning, Silver: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Dire Flail 3: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27 Bludgeoning, Silver: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Bite: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20 Bludgeoning, Magic, Piercing Slashing: 1d4 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

AC 23 (+2 Dodge) for 1 round (Crown Control, Defensive Flurry)

Grand Lodge

The highest I got was GMing 8 tables and playing in ~10. The workload was manageable, but post quality definitely suffered.

Grand Lodge

GM Upaynao wrote:
Edit: Pardon me, I'm losing it tonight.

That NEVER happens to me. But if it did, theoretically, I would empathize with you.

Grand Lodge

Looks like I've played #7-09 in regular and #7-23 in core.

Grand Lodge

Skug rushes up the chains like a spider, then tries to somersault behind the enemy caster. "Skug kill now! Skug have fun!"

Actions:
Free Rage
Free Explorer boon
Move Movement
Standard Movement
Swift Quick Runner's Shirt
Move Movement
Free Draw a weapon

After haste and encumbrance, my speed should be 45 ft, giving me 135 ft. of movement this round. I'm going to fast climb 50 ft. (100 ft.)
then Acrobatics 15 ft. (30 ft.).

Rolls:
Climb: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
Climb: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Climb: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Acrobatics (Avoid AoO): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Acrobatics (Avoid AoO): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Acrobatics (Move through enemy square): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Grand Lodge

Skug starts gnashing his large tusks and wringing the chain in his hands, eager to fight.

Grand Lodge

3 damage marked, and my Climb modifier is +10, so can't fail.

Grand Lodge

Scroll charge expended.

Skug nods at Eadie and begins climbing back down. Once on the ground, he helps Xichi put on the climber's kit, and demonstrates some simple techniques.

@Xichi: That's +4 with my aid and kit. Adding the knotted rope to that might let you succeed even on a 1.

Grand Lodge

@Eadie: I've got 100 ft. of silk rope, so 50 ft. of knots.

@Takahiro: Use one of my scrolls on Oleander's strength damage?

Once he reaches the top, Skug removes his climber's kit and drops it to the floor, "Look out!" then secures his rope and begins hauling people up.

Climb modifier is +10 without the kit, so auto-succeed on aid checks.

Grand Lodge

Skug watches Eadie a moment, then slides into a harness and spikes and ties a long, knotted rope around his own waist. Once the fighter starts up a chain, Skug clambers onto the one next to hers. Take 10 Climb is 22. Rope is 50 ft. with knots.

If necessary, use a charge from my scroll of lesser restoration on Oleander.

Grand Lodge

I'm pretty much worthless at the moment. Can't roll a d20 to save an elf's life, and my only useful item or ability is a cloak of resistance +1. I'll happily throw that over Oleander's shoulders though, once we drag her back up.

Grand Lodge

Skug hurriedly tries to pull Oleander out of the pit.

Rolls:
Strength: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Grand Lodge

Oleander Anwamanë wrote:
Anyone got a restoration?

5 castings of lesser.

Grand Lodge

I rolled a 3, so the specifics of the ruling are completely irrelevant to my failure :-)

Grand Lodge

I probably need to make some sort of check to stop the fall, so here's a random d20: 1d20 ⇒ 3

Skug quickly leans back, knees bent, and yanks on the rope. "Skug catch elf!"

Grand Lodge

Skug looks sideways at Eadie, "Door not door? Where door?"

Grand Lodge

I'm not sure "bold" is the right word, but half the fun of a character like Skug is risking his life on stupidity :-) Oh and his max Perception is 18, so he only finds traps by setting them off.

Skugs nods at Eadie, "Skug leap frogs."

Grand Lodge

"Skug kill now!" And before the sentence is even finished, Skug gives Brax a playful swing and moves forward.

@Eadie: I'm fine going first or second, depending on whether you want Skug to find the traps or do it yourself :-)

Grand Lodge

@Eadie: Skug has a monosyllabic vocabulary, so "magic" becomes "spells", "patience" becomes "pay sense", etc.

Grand Lodge

The big half-orc smiles for Eadie, "Skug wait. Skug have pay sense."

Grand Lodge

Skug flashes some tusk at Eadie, "Skug smell fight. Fight this way."

Grand Lodge

I'll be at a convention this weekend. If you need to bot Skug, just have him run into combat and bash/bash/bite. Don't worry about rage or any of his special abilities, I'll save that for later combats.

Grand Lodge

The following are on my to-GM list:

GM:
#34 Encounter at the Drowning Stones 7-11
#37 The Beggar's Pearl 1-7
#40 The Hall of Drunken Heroes 7-11
#50 Fortunes Blight 5-9
#2-03 Rebels Ransom 5-9
#2-16 The Flesh Collector 7-11
#2-25 You only die twice 5-9

Although the next scenario I run is going to be #6-98: Serprent's Rise, so anything else would have to wait until that finishes.

I can play:

Player:
#32 Drow of the Darklands Pyramind 7-11
#36 Echo of ht Everwar part 1 7-11
#38 No Plunder no Pay 7-11
#42 Echoes of the Everwar part 2 7-11
#44 Echoes part 3 7-11
#53 Echoes part 4 7-11
#2-10 Fury of the Fiend 7-11
#2-12 Below the Silver Tarn 7-11
#2-14 The Chasm of Screams 7-11
#2-18 The Forbidden Furnace 7-11
#2-26 - The Mantis's Prey 7-11

Grand Lodge

"Skug bring Brax. Brax bring Pain!" The half-orc shouts as he rushes ahead looking for someone to fight.

Grand Lodge

Granta can't see him on the map, and that is preventing Skug from stupidly charging into an unknown, hostile situation.

Grand Lodge

Can I see the figure on the throne?
