Female Half elven Cleric 1

In an amazing display of constitution that many didn't think was possible in the slim half-elf, Mah'ysa moves further in the room, doing her best to locate the remains of the fire so that she can put them out before the fire spreads once more. Once she locates the small fires, the others hear a sweet dulcet voice that confidently proclaims with an almost divine backing, "Heed me flames of destruction as I speak the words of your benevolent mistress. Nevermore shall this place face fear of destruction as the protecting hand of the Dawnflower once more enshrouds this place. Begone!"

With those words proclaimed, even more water appears above the remains of the fire, dousing the flames before they can catch once more in the hot and arid environment.

Still a little stunned with not only the recent melee, but also the pure reverence and beauty of the building, Mah'ysa finally snaps to as she levels her loaded crossbow and fires at one of the pugwumpis. No amount of compassion was gonna forgive the horrible things they had done to this most sacred place.

Having taken her scimitar back, Mah'ysa looks on when the religious scriptures are found, scanning the material and designs of the book cover for any idea as to which doctrine it might describe inside. Before she could actually reach out to open it however, Hazreem calls out that he will go to aid their comrades. Filing away the book for later, the young half-elf says, "But of course, let us stay together. The Dawnflower teaches that the support of friends is a person's most powerful weapon and though we have defeated the Pugwumpi, we do not know what other surprises they might have left behind. Please, lead the way Hazreem and Bahir." With that, she makes sure her crossbow is ready to fire as they move out of the chapel and look to find Pae and Daumari.

Mah'ysa, saddened by her necessary actions, let's out a short prayer for the little Pug King that she had killed. Then spending but a moment in contemplation, sets about cleaning up the chapel and directing Bahir to clear out the dead bodies in preparation for the consecration of this holy place.

As Mah'ysa feels her weapon begin to vibrate, she does her best to make sure it holds together and will fire a bolt if it does. If it doesn't then she will approach the melee and prepare to use her remaining magic to heal Bahir or Hazeem's wounds.

Mah'ysa, also becoming frustrated by these small creatures, simple levels her crossbow and fires once more. We must break their courage by defeating their King. But what can we do? she thinks as she reloads for yet another shot.

Seeing their goddess' chosen weapon break under the strain of the Pug king's ability, Mah'ysa lets out a small prayer as she takes aim at the Pug king and fires.

Glad to see that Bahir is holding back the pugs quite well, Mah'ysa quickly reloads her crossbow and fires at one of the pugs that are trying to get into melee with a valiant paladin.

"Bahir, let me and Hazreem take care of any fires, you are needed taking care of these little creatures!" Mah'ysa shouts over the din of combat as she too summons up water to douse the starting flame, negating her held fire and doing what she can to put out the fire before it causes damage to the Temple.

Mah'ysa stays with the group as it continues further into the monastery, still the only light that which has gathered around her hands and that which filters in through the holes that mar the walls and ceiling of the temple. Still feeling very nervous about their situation, she whispers a short prayer and lays the hand not wrapped in flames on Bahir's shoulder. As she does so, he feels the holy power of their deity coming to his aid, as if guiding his action.

Mah'ysa looks around nervously once that familiarly odd sensation settled on her and suddenly she was wishing that she had parayed for something that offered a bit more light than the bundled boll of flam that encased her hand. Eying Bahir, she will fall in behind him, ready to lend aid, however it was needed.

Female Half elven Cleric 1

Mah'ysa lets out a low giggle at the groups antics as they prepare to move into the building, once Bahir enters the building however, her face takes on a serious expression as she too move towards the gap in the wall. As if calling on the power of the sun itself, flame seems to gather around her slim hand as he enters the compound and takes a look around.

Female Half elven Cleric 1

Mah'ysa simply nods her head in agreement with the others as she whispers a short prayer to the Dawnflower to bless their coming mission. She then says, "I don't know about you all, but I have to agree with Lady Almah's assessment, if we can secure the monastery, it will make retaking Kelmarane that much easier...I think."

Female Half elven Cleric 1

Mah'ysa was surprised how quickly it was all over. As she calmed her quickening heart, she lets the giggle slip out as her gentle voice carries on the wind, before asking, "How is everyone down there? Hazeem, how are the goat's injuries?"

Female Half elven Cleric 1

Mah'ysa, slightly startled by the appearance of the strange creature, simply takes in the situation and sees how she can best help.

A look of sadness crosses Mah'ysa's face as she sees not only the slight injuries of her companions, but also the blood seeping from the goat's wounds. After gauging the distance, she resolutely nods her head as she takes her holy symbol in hand. Then with a confident voice, Mah'ysa says, "May the Dawnflower's light look upon those who still breath life with favor while those who cling to a life that is no longer their own, cringe from the heat of her burning embrace" With her words spoken, waves of positive energy once more radiate from her body and settle on all who bear injuries, closing the wounds that they have sustained.

Not being able to do much in this situation, Mah'ysa will simply keep an eye on things in the pit as Bahir and Hazreem go about trying to calm and free the goat.

How far away is the goat from Mah'ysa who is close to the edge of the drop down?

Female Half elven Cleric 1

Mah'ysa follows the others, keeping herself behind Bahir in case something springs out to attack. Not accustomed to the desrt, she jumps slightly as the goats bleating. Once she realizes what it was though, she grimaces to herself under her scarf and presses forward. whether it is because of or despite her numerous scarves, Mah'ysa seems particularly dexterous this particualr evening and holds her balance versus rather unsre footing.

In response to Yesper's words, Mah'ysa simply says, "I was glad I was able to help. I would like to ask a few questions though. My friends and I were late to arrive and I was wondering if you saw anything that would explain the cause of the fire? I just think it a little odd that a tree that well lived would suddenly catch fire." Mah'ysa will extand her hands to warm them at the fire as she says her words.

Mah'ysa nods as she says, "Yes, it is certainly nice to have educated discussion out here among the dunes. Now if you will excuse me, I wanted to ckeck-in on some of the injured from the fire. particularly the woman who was seriously burned. Do you know where I can find her? Once the healer tells her where the female guard could be found, Mah'ysa will take her leave and head out in search of the woman.

Seeing the healer pause, seemingly lost in his own thoughts, Mah'ysa asks, "Is something troubling you good sir? I can't help but feel like you ahve something on your mind. Sometimes it helps to talk of such things."

After introducing herself to the caravan's healer, Mah'ysa, with a swish of the numerous scarves that adorn her body, takes a seat next to him as she says, "I hope you don't mind if I sit with you, a break after all that chaos is a welcome thought. One has to wonder though, what could have caused such a blaze?"

After the long journey and the chaos and heat of the fire, Mah'ysa just wanted to rest but Almah's words of sabotage sank in and Mah'ysa looked to Bahir but briefly, returning the paladin's nod before setting off to find the healer that was already on site when their group had arrived. Looking through the still disorganized camp, Mah'ysa will approach the man and say, "Water and sand to you my friend, I hope things are going well. In all the chaos, I feel we did not have time for introductions, I am Mah'ysa, cleric of Saranrae."

Female Half elven Cleric 1

Once she realized the the tree was a lost cause, Mah'ysa had moved over to the burn victims to check them all over once more to make sure that they were alive and stable. Once Garaval motions for them to come however, she stands and heads in his direction. Upon introductions, Mah'ysa respectfully makes the sign for water as she says, "A pleasure to meet you mistress Almah, I am Mah'ysa, follower of the Dawnflower and your servant so far as it serves Saranrae's needs."

Female Half elven Cleric 1

Seeing that she does not have a minute to spare in this situation, Mah'ysa grips the holy symbol that hangs from her neck and begins to pray once more, "May the Dawnflower bring comfort to those who combat the rogue flame. May your body and heart both be soothed and calmed by the cooling flames of Saranrae's love." As the young cleric finishes her prayer, holy light suddenly bursts from her body and settles around the injuries of those who lay suffering in the sand. Where the light touches is a soothing sensation as the holy light begins to easy and heal the burns among the inflicted.

Once Mah'ysa is certain that there is no risk of any of the burn victims dying, she will rush back to the water line to continue her water making efforts.

At Garaval's word, Mah'ysa looks excitedely ahead just to have her excitement replaced with utter shock at the scene before them. Stunned to inactivity for a moment, the cleric can do nothing until he glaces over at Bahir. Their eyes meeting, they both spring into action, Bahir dropping from his mount while Mah'ysa spurs her own camel forward. When the mount gets closer, Mah'ysa too slides from her saddle and will head towards one of the water stations. Once there, she will enter into an almost trace like state as she says "Great Dawnflower, though you burning flame often grants vitality and life to what it touchs, this flame is bringing about destruction, please grant me your strength in comabtting this rogue flame. Give me the live giving waters that can quench the thirst of this rampaging beast."

As Mah'ysa completes her prayer, she places both hands over an empty bucket as the bucket suddenly fills with a gallon's worth of clean, cool water. As empty buckets return, she will offer up more prayers to Sarenrae to refill those empty buckets with water until the fire's have stopped.

Female Half elven Cleric 1

Bahir can just barely make out the hint of a smile through the shawls that cover most of Mah'ysa's face. "I to am honored Protector of the Flame and am pleased to see that you have more than a strong arm to contribute to this expedition. I was just wondering about the state of things at our destination. Though Sarenrae indeed has blessed this journey, I can't help but feel a cold gloom in our future that will attempt to smother the blossoming flames of the Dawnflower, much as the rumored temple has had happen to it. I am anxious to arrive at our destination, but at the same time, I fear what we may find once we get there."

Female Half elven Cleric 1

Mah'ysa had joined the caravan as was deemed necessary by the Head Cleric, but she was having doubts about the wisdom of his choice. Granted, the aged cleric was by far, much more experienced than herself, but where was the wisdom in sending an acolyte to negotiate with raiders and sactify entire temples...she still did not know. But she would try her best, all for Sarenrae's glory. Fortunately, the temple also thought it wise to have a paladin accompany her in the caravan. The past couple of days had been much more bearable with the company of one of her faith to converse with. And of course it helped that this particualr paladin was very easy on the eyes.

A slim, pale hand slips from the billowing blue robes and red flowing scarves that seem to adorn Mah'ysa's body as she holds tightly to the saddle that she rides on. Ever since she was a little girl, Mah'ysa had wanted to ride a camel, but now that she was riding one, she wasn't sure as to the stability of the animal. With each step it took, the saddle seems to sway and bob and the young cleric was sure that she was gonna topple off the large beast at any second. However, she was managing better than she had expected. Her other hand slipped over the pommel of the new scimitar at her hip. She was not much for using weapons in her life, but had undergone the training given to all clerics of the Dawnflower and as such, was competant in its use.

Her blue eyes scanned the others in the caravan and took note of special individuals: There of course was Garavel, the caravan master, a rather charming fellow for one who had seen so much desert travel. Than there was her own companion, the paladin, Bahir. Though she had just met the man, she had quickly come to trust his words and though he was trained to fight, his philosophy seemed to mirror her own when it came to solving disputes. Then of course was the quiet ranger, who seemed to be along more for his knowledge of the raiders than anything else. The druid was also something of a curiosity and Mah'ysa had been more than happy to help the man with rationing out water, using a little of her own divine magic, and making sure that those in the caravan stayed healthy. Then the sorceror, another one who saw the merits of words, had been a pleasant companion on their journey. Finally, that lovable halfling, Mah'ysa had had a few good laughs watching him climb atop his camel and practice with his scorpion whip.

Mah'ysa turned back to the desert ahead and picked up her pace to come alongside Garavel's camel as Bahir started to make come conversation.

"Yes, I to would like to know how much further we have before our destination" Mah'ysa says. Though the cloth wrapped Buzuq strapped to her saddle shows her instrument of choice, Mah'ysa nonetheless speaks in a light, calming voice that shows the experience that she has with talking to people.

Ok, the character sheet should be finished and is ready for your perusal Zoom.

Also, to Bahir, since we are of the same faith and even have the same trait, what's say we tie our backgrounds somehow. Maybe since Mah'ysa isn't much of a fighter, then Bahir can be the sword arm that was sent to not only clear the temple but to also protect the less combat adept cleric. How does that sound?
