A large Orc in pirate costume sidles over to Curmudgeon... "Psst. Them types of slug throwers wont work in here. Yeh gotta get dirty if'n you want to see blood."

Making her way from a back hallway silently she unslings and sets her assault rifle down on the table. It has a gleaming 12 inch bayonet.
At this point, he's laughing so hard it looks like his head will explode.
When he finally gets his laughter under control, he picks up his beer, peers into it as if expecting a fly, and then drains the whole pint, calling for another before the glass has hit the bar.
Ha looks at the burley man, puzzled, with an eyebrow half cocked.
Ha pulls our her sidearm, removes all ammo and slides it over to OLLI.
"Look, a lot of you guys in here are packing stuff that's just... medieval. What you need is one of these. Winchester, planet Earth, buddy. It shoots 12.7 mm chucks of depleted uranium that rip soft fleshies to pieces and all you gotta do is push the button."
"Even better, go down the hall and out the last door on the right and you'll find some serious badness. You guys probably shoot magic arrows and fireballs, right? Yah? You know what I'm talkin'. Well girl here (points at Ashura) has a frickin' mecha. Mechanical like you but way, way bigger and shootin' stuff that burns armies to cinders."
No need for me to drop out. Methinks it's dead, Jim. Let me know what you're plans are, V, cuz it kills me seeing this totally lose momentum and I can't keep looking. Good luck with school, best wishes to the family, and hope to see you back at Paizo regular again one day.
After the class, Ha snatches and takes apart any mechanical or electronic devices she can find... out of curiosity. This is, no doubt, an inconvenience to anyone who wants to use them.
To Menendez: "Many fail to understand the importance of gun safety education for children. Statistics suggest that as many of 7% of children who live in households with accessible firearms play with them and of those one quarter accidentally discharge the weapon because they don't realize that if a round was chambered it stays in the chamber after the gun has been discharged. Luckily very few of those actually result in a fatal injury, but nevertheless it does point to the great risk in giving a fully loaded weapon to a 7 year old girl. I don't know about you but if my parents were alive they would be appalled at your handing me a loaded weapon without any proper instruction. To tell you the truth, you're lucky I didn't accidentally shoot you."
I dunno what V has in mind, but I was thinking that it's best that we all lost everything--and after our training and the acceptance that we have ALL lost everything, we form new family bonds with each other--the whole group. A character death will have an interesting effect on the game, and anyone who makes a new character is going to have the challenge of writing a background that will create a new bond.
As for my character's early behavior, the nasty comments are just her defense mechanism with no control or sensitivity--the selfishness of a child. So she will probably keep it up until one or some of you say something that shakes her into realizing that she just says these things because she is afraid. Maybe a little later--I'm really interested in seeing what V has planned for us.
I think she is a good spotter because she doesn't have the steady hand, she's weak in close combat, but her intelligence is valuable in making quick judgment decisions and making detailed observations. So maybe we will be assigned to each other. Without knowing V's plans (we are just grunts who will do what we are told... usually) I can't be sure about this, but if we are sniper/scouts, then you and I should have light armor so we can move fast. A little move silently and hide won't hurt.
Although we must also be prepared for close combat alongside the others, it is tactically prudent to have a smaller unit that can break off and provide long range support. Militarily speaking, a 5 or 6 man squad is pretty small, so we are going to really need to be able to kick ass.
To the other kids: "Those big metal things are called bulkheads, and that creaking sound--it means we are going to crash and all die." Hehe. 7 years old with an INT of 17, CHA 9. Orphaned and bitter.... Just keeping up the patter until V gets back. Maybe someone's gonna beat her up soon, eh?
"Hey grampa, where's the head in this hunk of junk cruiser? I'm sure you haven't done much parenting with this traveling work, so you probably don't know that 7 year old girls shouldn't hold their pee too long, it's not good for the kidneys."
"With all due respect grampa, I'm a gifted child coping with grief, trapped in an orphanage with legions of mindless mouth breathing germ factories who cry themselves to sleep every night, and I have no consolation. In fact, I have already cased this place out for an escape and the only reason I'm still here is because I'm broke and have nowhere to go. So, grampa, the way I see it, either you are an idiot or that was a rhetorical question. Having said that, there is one thing that is worrying me: if you guys are recruiting kids you must be seriously f&@&ed."
Hello? What type of character is needed? A fast hero? A smart Hero? I'm leaning to a hacker kind of smart hero at the moment.
I may having hacking and fixing wrapped, but we could use a tactician. So a fast or strong with some brains could be very useful as long as V intends to allow us to capitalize on good tactics rolls. The template allows for some pretty kicking stat rolls, and we are NOT wanting for feats.
[intitative 16. Did we figure out who is my spotter?[/ooc]
I'll be spotting
Right now sniping may be hazardous to our health. Someone can take cover behind that pillar and nade us. BTW, Vissigoth, other games I've played allowed carrying my rifle LH to be like a poor man's fast draw, so that after my nade is away I can have the assault rifle readied. Is that ok?
