About Artemis Grayson
HISTORY
Artemis used to be a Sherriff in his little backwater village (he was left there when he was a baby). He spent most of his free time tinkering with odds and ends. As evidenced by his status as Sherriff, he takes the Law very seriously. He always felt constricted by the small village and when the party (in one incarnation or another) passed through, he resigned his post and took up with them to see the world, as he always felt he was destined for more than the village could offer. He has always been lucky and is a fairly pious man, some seeing his worship of Desna as the reason he left to go travelling.
He has no problems with dungeon delving and is willing to forgive minor transgressions into grey areas. He is however the moral conscious of the party, trying to steer them away from physically breaking the Law.
While only of average intelligence, his good nature and likability, not to mention his strict adherence to the law landed him the job of Sheriff after the last Sheriff was killed in an unfortunate accident with a spooked horse. He loves to read and makes up for any short fall in intelligence with a methodical mind and his trusty notepad.
DESCRIPTION
A tall handsome man, whose lean frame hides that fact that he has a bit of muscle built up from his youth. His skin is brown and his head is shaved. He has piercing green eyes and a friendly smile... unless you get on his bad side.
He typically wears a battered brown trench coat with a leather vest over a green shirt. Worn brown pants and travelling boots complete his ensemble.
He carries a Quarterstaff, which he tends to lean on a lot when thinking. As an homage to Desna, he also carries 2 Starknives, which he is still learning how to use. One dagger worn at his hip in a sheath and one in his boot complete his "Arsenal".
