About Alfred Ensbridge

The third son of Celeste Arvanxi and Reginald Ensbridge, Alfred was raised in a house with no political ambition, a barely noted off-shoot of House Arvanxi given Celeste's marriage to an entirely unnotable name. Given the status of his family, Alfred decided long ago to take a more indirect route to power than through direct enforcement of a familial name and embraced the idea of making the Ensbridge name famous all his own.

Since he was able to talk, Alfred had always been able to convince others to help him, part with their secrets, and let him into places he shouldn't be. This has gotten him into many troublesome situations which he's managed to escape from with a bit of luck.

For about 10 years now, Alfred has been a travelling performer, wooing clients from minor noble houses with his music. Through this, he has managed to find living quarters, food, small reimbursement, and many other minor luxuries, always making sure to not over stay at a given place. Primarily though, this has given him an opening for more lucrative work. Finding and trading the secrets and valuables of various minor noble families to others for a price.

For the last two years, Alfred has desire to move up the social strata. A few misplaced attempts at advancing himself without patronage from a greater entity (for only minor noble houses would accept the presence of a bard with no formal patronage) have led to creation of his current plan. For a year now, Alfred has been making close contacts with other ambitious persons, and he plans on helping them to either make a name for himself, gain their patronage when he has helped them climb the ranks of nobility, or to make himself notable enough to elevated within the Arvanxi household.
