Magic items, i need suggestions and a bit of help.

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

In a game where i am partisipating we have just recieved more gold than usual, the reason behind this is most likely that one of our players have whined like a girl about not being able to create own magic items.

By create i mean "special order the spesific item you want", restrictions is ofc that the spells needed must be avalible in the town, the item must exist in a standard pathfinder book and that we can pay the price in gold.

For my comrad its a great thing, he loves to read up in the books, plan and "scheem" about his items, so he has found a buttload of items he wants.

I on the other hand cant stand to plan out my chr, i like to let the chr be built not by myself, but by the actions and happenings we encounter.

I play a Bard, lvl 12 with about 10-15k gold. The DM is quite kind with the spells avalible, so if i can find myself a good item in that price i most likely can get it.

So.. give me your suggestions for awsome items, pref. bard-enhancing, both combat and RP.

What do you already have?

What sorts of tactics and spells do you favor?

I am the support of the group tbh.

I play music, focus on healing when the healer is fighting/turning/blasting/dead, i caste haste and good moral etc. If i fight it is ranged.

As player i am 80% RP and such, and 20% combat motivated.

What i have? I have +1 armor, +2 ring, +2 sword, +1 bow, unlimited quiver of +1, belt of +2 con, a magic fiddle that cast cone of cold 2x times each day.. that is more or less it.

First off and very obviously, a +CHA item. You won't much need the save DC boost, but any bonus spells will be handy. Also it will help your CHA-based skills, ie everything you do. 4k for +2

Secondly, a lesser metamagic rod of extend, very handy if you cast any long-duration buffs, such as, oh, heroism. 3k to double the duration of spells of levels 1-3 3 times a day.

A wand or two of cure light wounds, for after-combat healing. save your spell slots for RP support and fight support.

If you need more AC, a ring of protection +1 and an amulet of natural armor.

Buy some jewelry and a nobles outfit to look good in social situations and impress people. A hat of disguise is less than 2k and has endless interesting uses in all sorts of situations.

Yeah a +2 cha aint bad, i wish i could learn more spells and not just increase my daily casts. I seldom use up my spells tbh.

The rod is written down too :)
