I know this is a long time ago, but I was just noticing as part of my charter subscription I was sent a non-mint copy of PF#1. When I got it I was very upset at the post office for a huge crease I had in my cover, but it seems it's likely from this.
Just wondering if it's often that subscriptions get the non-mint copies?
Thanks,
Andrew

You were not sent a non-mint copy. The copy that was shipped out to you was mint.
However, since then, we have sold out of the original printing of PF#1. To sell the non-mint copies that were still available, we edited the existing product listing to "NON-MINT", rather than creating a new product listing. This allowed us to fulfill the last of the PF#1 orders with non-mint copies, but had the effect of altering the record of already-fulfilled orders (such as yours) to read as "NON-MINT". We notified the affected customers, before shipping their orders, that they would be getting non-mint copies and gave them the option to cancel.
We have never, and will never, send a non-mint copy in place of a mint copy without prior notification. Furthermore, we do not usually offer non-mint versions of products until the mint versions are no longer available (though, this is not as iron-clad).
