As sad as it makes me, I suspect Eric and company are hoping to avoid the route of the evil slushpile for fiction. I suspect therefore that we will soon here an official "That way lies madness" response from paizo folks.
Given that writing novels, especially, is my passion in life, it makes me a little sad. I guess I'll have to settle for writing fanfic once there's enough of the world out there to write about.

We are absolutely considering fiction to support Pathfinder.
Any chance of a comic book adaptation as well? The Ptolus ones were fairly okay, and the old Forgotten Realms and Dungeons & Dragons comics (which were also set in the Realms) is a dear favourite of mine, so it'd not exactly be the first RPG-connected comic book.

Well, Eric say they're considering it, so obviously they are. I'd just like to put in a plea to please be careful in doing so. Gaming fiction is a literary ghetto - the writing is usually very poor. Pathfinder and GameMastery have been very high quality so far. If you're going to do paperback fiction, please try to find some decent writers when doing so.

Oo oo! Pick me, pick me!
An excerpt:
He was a dark and stormy knight. Suddenly, a crossbow bolt rang out. It was the borsht of times, it was the wurst of times. Call me chainmail.
How's that? Pretty high-caliber stuff, eh? :)
