No prob. We'll still be here when you get back.

I read that in this voice...

King of Talingarde

My Hell Week is over now, and I'll be able to continue this moving forward.

Female Half-elf Bard 1/Unchained Rogue 3 HP: 20/20 AC 14/10/14: F+2, R +9, W+6 (+2 vs. Enchantments), Per:+18, Init: +10

Sweet, glad you survived!

Kalina, unless I'm missing something, you have some actions left.

The group had a surprise round against the new guard (which you never took). Then you had first initiative (which you did).

So, unless Mark has a problem with it, you could have moved to close on the guard in the surprise round, then used your round 1 actions to full attack with both weapons.

Let me know if I'm wrong, Mark.

King of Talingarde

That's correct

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

Cain, you might want to check your move to L22. It looks to me like you can't quite get that far on a single move - unless I'm missing something.

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

So, backup bow to Kalina?

Just carry the longsword (for possible sale later) since our front-liners already have their weapons?

I think whoever is in the front-line that isn't dressed as a guard yet - Cain, Kalina, or Gwyn should get the disguise.

As for the armor, if its chain, it is no good to Gwyn and Cain and Kalina are already packing, correct? Can anyone aside from Price use it?

Well, Gwyn can use it. She just might really, really dislike the armor check penalty, though.

I'd say unless Gwyn wants it, Price is the obvious choice. Gwyn expressed interest in leather armor earlier, so she may be holding out for something more optimal.

Your weapon suggestions are good. Unless Xanos wants something to carry around. :)

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

Yeah, I figured Gwyn was prioritizing stealth over safety... but I'm fine with her clinking around if she wants.

Xanos could carry the other sword. Just because he can't use it, doesn't mean it won't make effective 'window-dressing' particularly if we can deck all of us out to pass as guards. :) Then we just turn around to face off against that escaped ogre and when our fellow guards come to help us, we cut them down. :)

Female Half-elf Bard 1/Unchained Rogue 3 HP: 20/20 AC 14/10/14: F+2, R +9, W+6 (+2 vs. Enchantments), Per:+18, Init: +10

Most of my characters avoid high ACP's like the plague.

I'll carry a sword, sure. If nothing else it gives me something to take AoOs with.

Cool. Then let's get those items on the appropriate character sheets and move on. :)

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

Price is updated with her fancy new armor. Sad thing is, I kinda got used to her unarmored. I might have to downgrade her to leather at some point. :)

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

Xanos still hasn't gotten a good look at what the veil does or how pulling patches off works. I didn't want to act on knowledge that my character might not really have.

He's curious, but someone else is going to have to prompt that scene.

The suspense!

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

Something seems tactically off about this set up.

If we split the group then we up the odds of fighting a "two-front war" if it last longer than a round.

We have an Ogre we haven't used.

What if we put Ogre and Xanos at door 11 where the Price and Karlina are now. Then we send Gwen in to slit throats to drop the sleeper(s). If she blows it, everyone but me and the ogre bum rushes the room. Should be a short fight.

If room 11 ever hears anything, they open the door and get a face full of ogre. I can hold down the rest of the room until you finish up your room and come help me out.

This focuses fire power more efficiently.

What do people think?

Female Half-elf Bard 1/Unchained Rogue 3 HP: 20/20 AC 14/10/14: F+2, R +9, W+6 (+2 vs. Enchantments), Per:+18, Init: +10

Sounds good to me.

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

So basically you want Xanos to take Price's spot and have Price & Kalina backing up Cain and Gwyn at close range instead of splitting the difference.

That's fine with me.

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

Mark, the icons weren't quite right so I swapped them around a bit.

The talk coming from the South door makes me think they bought Cain was one of their guys... and we want to definitely have folks ready to attack there if the North door victims don't die outright. I'd suggest we either move Kalina to guard the South door just in case or the North door to try to ensure the guards die quick.

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

I moved the icons again, to reflect the 'guard the South' and full blitz on the North side. I'm a little worried about going light on South side but I can see it being a good risk. If you guys don't like the odds, Price could be shuttled to the South side to help guard 'just in case'.

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

If that door opens (which will only happen if Gwen screws up and then the fight gets loud), GJ will paste the first person, and I'll daze the next. I can't see needing more than that in the first round that door opens.

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

Hopefully, if the Sergeant is through the South door, he won't be a problem.

With 4 of us on the North door, let's shoot for 2 CdGs on each of the sleeping guards.

Male Changeling Fighter 1, Monk 1, Rogue 1, Ranger 1, Actor 5

Aren't CdGs Max crit damage? I don't think I've seen rolls made for them before.

Female Half-elf Bard 1/Unchained Rogue 3 HP: 20/20 AC 14/10/14: F+2, R +9, W+6 (+2 vs. Enchantments), Per:+18, Init: +10

From the D20 PFSRD

It doesn't explicitly state it is max damage, so I would guess not.

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

As far as I know, you only get the automatic critical multiplier but the damage must still be rolled.

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

Hmm. Guess I've been doing that wrong. Seems odd to me that you'd have a significant chance of not killing a sleeping target. All of a sudden multi dice weapons become much better at CdGs than single dice weapons. (I'd take a middle average on two dice than a single dice roll just every time just on account of the fort save)

At Xanos's knock, a man opens the door. Judging from his attire, he is obviously not a guard, but rather a servant. He appears to be talking with a woman, another servant, as he opens the door. Seeing Xanos and Grumblejack beyond, he is held speechless for a moment. In his hand, he is holding a knife, apparently from preparing food for in the morning for the guards.

Xanos and Grumblejack get a surprise round against the man and woman.

Eesh... it's a bad day to be these guys.

I moved myself to Q28 to start (where I knocked on the door)

Can I 5' adjust left-down diagonal through the door, past the servant (barging past him, basically), or is the space too tight?

If that doesn't work then I'll step aside. Mostly I just want to be out of the ogre's way.

Sorry, we can just say that I barged in right after.

at least I haven't made a habit of it like in this game I kept ninjaing the GM and his PC

No problem. :)

If you want, you could copy your post, delete it and drop it in again after mine. Might make the continuity look cleaner.

If not, no worries.

Rogue actually, in the other game it's a head strong DEX-based Barbarian named Raseri.

You've already shown your superior ninja skills. You win :)

Thanks for giving me that scene, by the way. I really enjoyed getting to delve a bit into what Xanos is like.

In case anyone was curious, that little spiral-thing was just a fancy description of Arcane Mark.

Alright I think we should take this.

A travellers outfit in the local fasion. [/ooc]So we can sell some of the loot[/ooc]
A fineley made pipe (5gp)
1 lb of high quality shag tobacco (2gp)
A package wrapped in wax paper labeled 'From Lil', contains delicious smelling cookies.
A small pouch containing 1gp, 15sp, 50cp
A whetstone
Bottle of fine whisky (25gp)
Bottle of rotgut (5gp)
A Masterwork Lute (100gp)
A map of the nearby town called Varyston and it's surrounding environs (includes the Old Moor Road)
A small bottle with a hand written note “In case of trouble – Love, Mom!” (Detects as magical).
A small bag of doggy treats. Just in case we run into a guard dog.

Any other suggestions?

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

More arrows would be good as well.
I think everyone that hasn't gotten a change of clothes should throw on guard stuff. Anything is better than rags and if we bust out of here and an alarm is raised - passing from a distance as a band of guards 'hunting for the prisoners' would be good.

I'd love to take everything of value - shields, bows, etc. so long as we stay lightly loaded. We have no idea what kind of cash we'll have going forward and the more money we have the more goodies we can buy.

Female Half-elf Bard 1/Unchained Rogue 3 HP: 20/20 AC 14/10/14: F+2, R +9, W+6 (+2 vs. Enchantments), Per:+18, Init: +10

I figured that we'd take everything that we needed from the armor and swords and stuff. I was just talking about the chest.

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

Ah. Sounds good to me!

Definitely think the dog treats are a requirement. Shame we don't have any poison to lace them with.

Female Half-elf Bard 1/Unchained Rogue 3 HP: 20/20 AC 14/10/14: F+2, R +9, W+6 (+2 vs. Enchantments), Per:+18, Init: +10

Yeah, too bad, but at least we have cookies.

While bored at work I went ahead and read the other WotW game that Mark is running. They're making similar progress (we're a bit further along).

But I've decided that we are about a million times as awesome. :)

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

Lol. I had considered doing that, but was afraid of spoiling something for myself.

i figured I'd stop if I saw something it looked like they were getting somewhere we hadn't.

their feel is very Monte Haul, lots of posturing, a very kick-in-the-doors play style, as opposed to our more cautious stealth based approach. it's neat to see the differences.

I'm glad I'm in this game though. as a player I'd get frustrated with their lack of caution, and as a character I'd be inclined to kill at least one of them already. :)
