Welcome to the game. Because this scenerio isn't out yet, there's only so much pre-game discussion that can go on but know that this is a continuation of the events of 1-00 based on the description, if you have played 1-00 and have the boon from that scenario please let me know as that is probably relevant.

![]() |

Hello! I didn't see you muster but I checked the spread sheet and there was a link here. This is the character I will be playing for this game. I have played 1-00 and have the boon from it. Thanks for running this ! I am very excited!
(also, this character just leveled to 2 so he will be changing quite a bit over the next few days)

A dark-skinned Kasatha with a wise look in his eyes enters, nods to Medrick, and takes a seat. He seems lost in contemplation.

![]() |

Should we start to be concerned yet that only 2 of us mustered and you posted 3 days ago?

Player: J. Bailey (jooker)
SFS# 90416-701
Faction: Wayfinders

Looks like we have everyone, and I have the scenario in hand. I will be posting some introductory text in the gameplay thread in a little bit. It looks like the "High Society Influence (Zo!) social boon is also relevant to this scenario (kinda duh) so if you have a character with that and want to switch, feel free, it is also suggested in the blog preview for this scenario that you play a character with the Icon theme, so if you want to switch to that that's cool too.

![]() |

I have the boon, but sticking with Medrick.
EDIT
There are only 5 of us? That is a bit scary. Last adventure I was on, we almost TPK with a full group. Lets hope for a better run here.

![]() |

Updated Medrick. I should be all set to go except I plan to spend some credits. I will post when that's done. I am really excited to start this!

![]() |

Updated picture to something significantly less undead looking... I wish they had more assets for starfinder. I need a storm trooper.
Also, Shadius, is it OK if I link to a google docs sheet in my profile tab? Or would you prefer I copy info to the tab. It is not problem, but will take a little time. I have also made it so that it is a link in my above quick info for convenience.

That's fine.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

It looks like you are only at five, would you have room for one more?
I could bring in the pre-gen technomancer to round out the party.
If you're on the spreadsheet, you're good. I had someone express potential interest on the OutPost thread, but if you signed up to the slot, the slot is yours.

Suh-weet!
I’ll get an alias up ASAP.

Sounds be all ready to get started, I will be posting an intro later tonight. Just a couple background things.
I am in US Eastern. I will generally be posting daily in the evening
(so around now) and a limited amount through the day.
I would like to use Roll20 for the maps, but if anyone has an issue with that I can use Google Slides.
As a final note, this scenario involves a special mechanic called 'Fan Favor,' throughout the scenario, you will be given the opportunity to earn fan favor, fan favor will help to determine your reward at the end of the scenario.
You will be allowed to obtain 1 fan favor by taking a 'risk' during the scenerio, if you would like to do this let me know, you can gain this benefit by accepting a -4 penalty on any skill check to perform the skill in some overly flashy or clever way.
Additionally, you can earn fan favor by providing engaging answers in 'the Booth' (and attempting a skill check). I will explain the Booth during the introductory text.

Convenient, I am in eastern US as well! Well, Medrick may not provide much fan favor in skills, hopefully he can give us a few with 'The Booth'. This should be a fun one.

US West Coast here. Hooray for global gaming! This is awesome!

![]() |

East coast US here. I usually post in the mornings. I can work with either system, but have a slight preference for google slides. (Works better on mobile)

![]() |

Shoot. I wish you'd said something earlier. I don't have a device that works with Roll20. I always use Google Slides.
I can drop if you're more comfortable using Roll20. I don't want to inconvenience the group or the GM.
You're good, I can use Google Slides, I'm just running this tomorrow on Roll20, so I figured I'd ask if people were alright with it. Will set up the slides.

By the way, this is my first Starfinder game. I'm a long time pathfinder DM & PFS player, but I need a little bit of help rounding out this guy. I just realized I never finished one section of the sheet.
Basically, I am unfamiliar with the available worlds and languages. Do you have any recommendations for Tyrin's homeworld? He is a Damaya Lashunta but I don't mind the idea of him being brought up with another race. Also, I have enough Int for 3 extra languages beyond his homeworld. Thoughts?

![]() |

Lashunta are native to Castrovel, but they can be found anywhere. Some of my more rogue-ey characters come from Akiton, as that seems like it's got some good wretched hives of scum and villainy. Aside from that, you might want to peruse the Pact Worlds.
As for languages, I find it a crapshoot. Languages that your companions speak natively allow for a little good roleplay, and languages of the various non-standard PC races (Elves, Dwarves, etc.) seem to be useful at times. But you never know when speaking Auran or Draconic is going to come in handy. My suggestion is to use your character's background to choose them, or choose them and let that influence your character's background.

![]() |

Most of the Languages in Pathfinder are available in Starfinder. Just replace the ethnic languages of that game system with the planetary languages of this one. Things like Abyssal, Celestial, and the Elemental languages are all still available.
I think Aklo is especially important, because it's the language of most Aberration species.

![]() |

Thanks!
Going with Verces as his homeworld. Languages will consist of Common, Lashunta (Castrovel), Verces, Aklo, Auran, Akitonian. I think that makes for an interesting mix.

![]() |

So did we get weapons (and more importantly batteries) off of the goblins we fought we fought earlier? I know we would get rid of the batteries at the end of the scenario but aren't we allowed to use the item till the end? Also, I am a strong believer that there needs to be a piece of tech made that allows you to charge a battery with another battery. This would make make keeping track of part filled batteries so much easier. Lets hope something like that appears in a future book.

![]() |

Just a heads up, don't want to ruin the glow, I'm going to be asking 2 more of you to enter the booth in a few hours, but don't have time to post the booth questions right now. Will give everyone a few more hours to interact with the dwarf (I will respond as able) and then we'll move on to the next part depending on what you decide and I will run the booth as if you stayed, did the booth, and then moved on.

![]() |

What is required for the booth? I think I'm a bit confused. Let me know what you need from me and I'll get it to you.
If you want to paraphrase it, Tyrin takes a sort of Simon Cowell/Gordon Ramsay approach to celebrity. He answers questions straight to the point, and bluntly. However, unlike the RL celebrity inspiration, not just to be mean or rude. The goal is efficiency.

![]() |

No worries, im flexible.

![]() |

Tyrin, I'm pretty sure the description in Combat Tracking is just fluff. The "extra information" you get is what allows you to have a higher BAB. I think of it as "target is 91% likely to move 2 feet to the left before firing" kind of combat telemetry.

![]() |

Yea I figured, just wanted to make sure. When I saw the word vulnerabilities, it through me off because thats an actual keyword sometimes.

![]() |

I am back! I am so sorry for disappearing on such short notice. I should be back on schedule now.
