Prazil frowns at Auchs' harsh words. "Who am-" ... "Why be-" ... "Am you-" ... "Ok. Bye."

A little frustrated at his inability to talk to the bandit and also sad that the man was so mean, Prazil gives up after a few more halting attempts at trying to strike up a conversation. Remembering how much Agnar had been trying to help him with his Big Hero words since they met, the little kobold steers Fang away from the wagon and over near the bearded priest.

He waits a moment in silence before remarking, "Big Hero talk am hard, Aggynar."

Agnar gives Prazil a smile and a pat on the shoulder.

"לדבר להיות קשה גיבור גדול. להרגיש לא רע," he says, trying to carefully enunciate the unfamiliar words.

Draconic:
"Kobold speak be hard for big hero well as. Feel not bad."

"Besides, in a few moons you'll be speaking the tongue better than that big buffoon ever could."

"Besides, in a few moons you'll be speaking the tongue better than that big buffoon ever could."

"עס איז גערופן דראַקאָניק", Treshiell says without looking up. The witch sits crosslegged nearby next to a diagram of Stevic's fort drawn in the dirt in front of her. Outside the fort walls she has drawn a something resembling a gallows, with a row of people standing next to it. She drags her indexfinger and little finger next to the head of the last man causing him to sprout antlers and completing her drawing.

Draconic:

It is called draconic.

The trial is a somber affair, with your captives -- grateful for clemency -- dutifully watching as you execute the Stag Lord, who rages all the way to his death, Dovan and Auchs.

"Well, good riddance to bad rubbish," Stevic hrumphs as the men stop twitching before he stomps back into his trading post. "Make sure you clean up that flaming mess; I don't want it sitting here stinking and attracting predators."

What do you want to do with the bodies? Agnar had mentioned earlier "remember that we've got a very angry undead fellow down at the ferry we need to appease with the Stag Lord's head later. I'm willing to bet that if we don't he'll get angry and we'll have another fight on our hands. Then again, we've got a paladin now, so take that angry undead guy."

Akiros looks troubled at Orin's question. "I'm not sure I'm one to judge. I've made ... mistakes ... that could've had me swinging at the end of the rope. I try to be better, but ..." He shrugs, fatalistically.*

"Only decent one in that place was probably Valkeri, and it looks like someone took his head off. As for Auchs, I'd say no. He's a sadistic bastard. Now maybe he doesn't know enough to realize it's wrong, and maybe he'll be better without Dovan, but from what I can tell, he's no good.

"Dovan says he's from Nisoch, but never said too much more. He's another cruel bastard.

"Sneeg's a mercenary who's obviously not to worried about staying loyal. I wouldn't trust 'im, but I don't think he's the worst of the worst. Same with Cragger and Dirty Jeb. Celthric claimed he was a minor noble up in Brevoy, but had to resort to banditry to survive after he frittered away his family's fortune. He tried to steal from the Stag Lord, and that just got him a hell of a beating after Jex snitched. Which is what he does. Man tries to curry favor, and doesn't care which of his companions he rats out to do it. Everyone in the fort hated 'im."

"You omit judgement of your leader." Treshiell's voice comes from behind the two men. The witch glides up to stand next to Akiros, eyes focused on the bandit. "You don't think he can repent?" Treshiell's green eyes move up and down Akiros. "How about you?"

Male Human Paladin 4 (HP 30/30)

Having decided that Auchs should be spared despite being out voted, and that he will take it upon himself to teach the man how to be a good person, Jon walks out to the gallows with the gleam of pride that comes from knowing one is doing the right thing.

As he makes his way through the crowd to pull Auchs from the line, his heart drops as he notices that at the insistence of the crowd they have started early. "No no no!" Jon yells as he races through the crowd.

And then just as he breaks through the crowd he sees Auchs drop and as Auchs drops, Jon's heart drops with him stoping in his stomach for what seems like an eternity, until the sound of Auchs neck snaping breaks him out of his time stop.

"No!" Jon yells as he drops to his knees. But nobody seems to notice over the cheers of the crowd.

Prazil sniffles as he sees the men drop and then hears Jon's subsequent cries. He weaves his tiny body through the press of the small crowd until he finds the man on his knees. Prazil places a hand on their soon-to-be baron's shoulder and pats it reassuringly, tears flowing freely from his eyes as he does so.

"Being hero am hard," he offers quietly before sniffling again and whiping his eyes with his other hand.

Not that it really matters for role-playing purposes, but there're probably all of about 20 people there at most, including you and the bandits you spared.

Kereek sighs as the three men are executed. He carefully gathers up Auchs' toys and brings them to the body. He places them in the dead man's pockets as his body is taken down from the gallows. To the men burying the two, Dovan and Auchs, he says "See that his toys go with him. If anyone steal, GACK!" Kereek draws his finger across his throat with a vicious slashing motion.

Seeing Jon sitting alone and forlorn after the executions, he walks over to the man. He seems to try to find the right words, then failing, simply sits down next to Jon, silent.

Kereek will see that the Stag Lord's body is placed in a cart. He'll volunteer to take the cart to the ford where the undead man lies, in order that his soul may rest. Then, remembering that he has no idea how to drive a cart, will ask someone to drive it for him...

Together they'll take it to the ford and when the undead man appears, Kereek will show him the body. If he desires it, Kereek shrugs and hauls the body to the water, slipping it in, figuring that a watery grave is as good as a dry one.

Treshiell appears next to the wagon as it is time to take the Stag lord's body to the river. She gets up on the passanger seat, humming a swaying melody all the way to the river.

As you hand the Stag Lord's body over to the undead Davik Nettles, he pulls it down into the water, both disappearing from view.

Moments later, a ranseur washes up on the banks at your feet, seemingly untouched by however long it's been in the water.
