With the defeat of the dark Dryad and surviving many of the islands others challenges, the party is well on their way to becoming the Shiv's masters...only Ieana stands in their way...

Honestly, Anton would prefer first watch. He was just taking last so that Nora could have first. And you'd have to explain to him in-character about how Tilsini was more than just an animal companion, before he'd trust the little guy to not dart off after an interesting smell. ;)

No, seriously. Who gets the spell creation notes for Azlanti luck and Azlanti glue: the one who can read Azlanti (Aedalis), or the one with the scroll case that preserved them (Tragershen)? It's bad enough that I'll have to retcon my in-character account once; I really don't want to do it twice.

Do you stay here or press onto the camp? It is about an hour back to it?
Map for the 22nd travel plans since you altered course please. The SE area should be pretty well travelled by now though and you should be able to make better time.
BTW now that Anton has is movement enhancement you could use it to cover another couple of hexes per day if he wants to use them in such a manner?
Sure, I'll use the boots' longstrider effect to speed up exploration, if it would make a difference. The constant feather step effect for jungle terrain means that Anton would usually be moving as fast as anyone else in the party -- and with Swift as Shadows, he could be doing it stealthed at no penalty. I think that the longstrider effect would only make a difference on green hexes, so when we're exploring new hexes, I'd rather save it for tactical advantage; but I have to admit that I never fully grokked the rules for our overland movement.

I would like to propose some team tactics for out-of-combat knowledge checks. We have several people with high knowledge skills, so as long as you can get close with Take 10, others can put you over the top with Aid Another. (So if you don't have a high bonus in the skill, but you happen to be posting first, maybe roll Aid Another anyway in the expectation that someone else with a higher skill could use it to succeed.) I'm sure that we all trust each other to share what they learn, and I think that it would be a safer strategy than just each of us hoping for a high-enough roll.

I'm always dubious about the use of take 10 when a DC has been clearly listed. Aedalis would have made it on a take 10- but without seeing that the DC was 20 I was unlikely to have been inclined to do so.
I'm headed to Florida; my mother-in-law is really sick. I'm not sure how long I'll be there, probably a week or a week and a half. I'm guessing I'll still be able to check online with some regularity, but if I'm not please DMPC to keep things moving.
Will do, thanks for the heads up. I am hoping we can really get into the meat and potatoes of this one by Monday so I will keep an eye on your character.
Sorry for the lack of posting recently. My wife's grandfather was hit by a car on Wednesday and things are a little upset right now. I will try and post something later tonight.
Right -- even though Anton heard it all, I was waiting to see Corbius's reaction to Nim's intent to wake everyone up, since he didn't do that himself (presumably for a reason). I'll get something up tonight one way or another. Best wishes to everyone with travel plans and/or sick or injured relatives.
Maybe we should put the game on hiatus for Spring Break, and pick it back up on Saturday the 31st? Normally I'd rather just keep going, but when almost everyone has Real Life stuff going on at the same time, I think it would be merciful to release the expectation: they could focus on what they need to without feeling guilty, and we wouldn't be disappointed in the game not living up to its usual quality.
ETA: I mean, our interaction as writers and players is a big part of what makes this game so compelling and fun for me. There's always going to be someone with something, so we're accustomed to Keep Calm And Carry On, but I think that this is different; with so many having so little availability right now, it just wouldn't be the same. :(
I will pop in from here in Florida when I can, but it does seem like a natural slow down. Fortunately we seem to have a pretty committed group to be able to weather a break or a slowdown.

Hey guys. I am back home. Sorry for the long absence, but didn't have internet available where I was and no time/too busy to find any. Had a long day of flights today, will post tomorrow after some sleep.
Sorry for keeping everyone waiting! FWIW, I have a deal in the works to buy a netbook -- mostly to make it easier to post from work, where my full-size laptop isn't really practical.
Congrats to you, DM, on a 1000+ post game! You are doing a great job with the pacing on it. I have to say, I have a little knot in my stomach when I think about the coming cannibal raid and how it might play out. Thank you for pouring the energy into this for us!

Probably an appropriate juncture to do a cross-post to all my more active PbPs about an interruption to my posting schedule that is imminent.
My wife is about 37 weeks pregnant, which basically means that the bun is fully cooked and ready to pop at any time. This means that at some point in the next 1 day to 4 weeks I will suddenly and without notice disappear completely from the interwebs. I can't say when or for how long, but it will probably knock me out for up to a week or so before my wife and I get back on our feet and I'm of somewhat sound and untired enough mind to jump back online.
So if I do vanish, please don't fret as I shall return :) I would just ask for some leeway on posting frequency for a while as we adjust to the new baby floating around.
Male Human (Varisian) Cleric (Varisian Pilgrim archetype) 4
Heh - this will be baby number two for us, so I'm fully aware of the marathon of no-sleep early morning wake-ups. Will be a shock to the system again (as our three year old is currently sleeping 12 hours solid a night) but I'm sure I'll adapt ;)
Thanks for the well wishes and good luck to Mrs Corbius!
You are in what was a hallway. You are 5' off the ground. The wall at the front of the ruins has mostly fallen away. Any burst spells will effect creatures in front of the ruins in hexes I9-I15.
If you move to I8-I5 the wall is intact enough to block spells and line of sight.
You can be attacked from the ground in I9-I15 as well.

Appreciate the well wishes and chinese whispering in the news from other threads. Delivery happened in the early hours of yesterday and we've been enjoying getting to know the new'un.
Wife and Bub continue to do well in recovery and all things considered should hopefully be back in our own home as of tomorrow. Will see how the home-life settles out before committing to a specific time for wading back online so if DM-botting can continue that would be grand.
Male Halfling (Molthuni) Barbarian 1 Ranger (Trapper) 3
That was incredible!!! And I hate to distract from its awesomeness -- which is why I put this in the ooc thread -- but for tactical reasons, I need to point out that Nim might not have moved, since natural reach threatens adjacent squares.

As I'm now safely ensconced at home, I'm comfortable in saying that Mihai is ready to get back into action. Might still be a bit spotty for a while, but I'm confident I won't hold things up.
Baby boy is doing well, as is the dear wife. He's currently passed out in a breast milk coma ;)
