Just wanted to share a little something I created for my game on Halloween. I wanted to model a holiday in Isger that was equivalent to Halloween for a fun little story, so I created the Night of the Unburied on Lamashan 30. We already have Allbirth, but the mother of monsters is a touch too far for what I wanted.
So we get the Night of the Unburied! The wars left many soldiers who never received proper burials. On Lamashan’s last night, families set a candle and a plate of food at the door for the war dead who never got proper graves. People wear masks so wandering spirits won’t recognize them and drag them off. Bonfires at the crossroads light the way to Pharasma, goddess of death and fate, who judges every soul. Kids in goblin masks go door to door collecting treats, and houses that refuse get pranked. Pharasma isn't spot-on for Isger, but it's better than Lamashtu and gives me the spooky vibe I wanted.
As for timing, I placed it right between Chapters 3 and 4. After the caves when the false hellknight falls and one their way back to Saringallow.
I make videos for my players after some of our sessions, and this one was no different. If you want a spooky chuckle, feel free to check it out.
Happy Halloween Night of the Unburied!
