My character is already the summoner from Secrets of Magic. Do I need to spend points on a rebuild to switch to the Impossible Magic summoner?

We don't know. There are impassioned arguments going on, but a non-core class being reprinted in a new book is unprecedented.
My personal vote would be for it to be considered errata (So all changes in class chassis go through automatically), but I don't get a cote.
Can I see some of the threads where these arguments are happening?

Here's RedOrca's opinion. But the real discussions I was referring to are happening over discord across multiple lodges. Ultimately, there is no official answer. The people actually in charge are still swamped for another few hours and then are likely to collapse from exhaustion. Give it a few days.
