Saw it yesterday and enjoyed it. Not as good as Superman but still fun.
The action was a bit iffy for my getting-old eyes - a bit too much quick editing and things hidden in the dark and whatnot. Power levels were all over the place and the story was utterly predictable and uninspired, the flow of time was a bit weird, and a number of hand-waved situations to clean up the resolution; so all in all, very comic book-y.
Alcock did a good job in the role. I know very little of the source material so I cannot speak to how true it is to that, but the character and story as presented in the film worked. There were a number of instances where I wondered
Most importantly, they did the Main Man dirty, by which I mean they did him right. He's nasty, brutal, rude and a ton of fun to watch. I was afraid they would make him too nice, and while they did tone him down a bit from his most over the top portrayals (he's a supporting character, after all) Momoa's Lobo was a blast to watch.
Not as good as the He-Man film, but still worth the trip to the movies.
