Greetings all,
First time poster here, and I'm here regarding a recent discussion that's come up in a living world server I'm a part of. I'm playing as a Turret Mechanic with a Witchwarper FA, and recently had the idea of using my turret for Anchoring Strike.
Here's the problem though. For the most part the turret seems to behave like an eidelon, having its own actions that it can take as part of feats (
Coordinated Fire, for instance), having its own HP pool, having its own movement, etc. However, the text of the turret says that it is a martial ranged weapon, and also it seems to imply that strikes it make count as strikes you've made ("Once deployed, you can fire this turret remotely if you are within 100 feet of the turret, as a ranged Strike originating from the turret’s location.").
As it stands, my table has ruled that the turret behaves too similarly to standard companion/familar/eidolon/summons for it to count as the mechanic making the Strike for Anchoring Strike. I am not asking for other opinions on this matter as I am content with the ruling at my table as-is, I am mainly here to ask for the language to be further clarified for the class when Tech Core drops in October.
