In back of book 3, is a sketch of a "stranger things" looking beast with the caption "could this hideous beast actually exist?"
It is also depicted on the cover of the book.
But as I peruse this volume I do not see it appearing or described in the bestiary. Is this then just a clickbait tease? or is this somewhere in the adventure path (ive looked in each of the 6 volumes with no luck so far).
Where can I find details about this? It would serve perfectly for a nightmare monster that is a penultimate BBEG for the campaign I'm running; something found in the lost civilization that the world forgot which has the secrets of the prophecies set forth by it's ancient (long-dead) inhabitants; which would set the PCs on the path for preparing and confronting the overarching villain group.
But I need a beast like this as a remnant of that civilization (which is lovecraftian in nature - hence why I grabbed these books in the first place for inspiration).
