New to pfs and very confused

Horizon Hunters

Hello! So, I gm'd the beginner box for my friends as our intro to pfs. On the chronicle sheets, it shows items that are level 4 and 5, but the beginner box only goes up to level 2. So, are we not able to purchase those items later? Because they'd have to be crossed off, right? And you wouldn't come across other things in the game so you couldn't get them that way right?

I am also a little confused about treasure bundles as well, in regards to this adventure.

Thanks <3

If I am remembering correctly, you can purchase items normally of your level. If the item is listed on your chronicle sheet, you can purchase up to your character level +2

If I were to put the credit on a first level character, am I able to go back and buy those things at a later time when my level is higher?

And what would I do for treasure bundles in something that's not an actual Society quest? Like since we did the beginner box, how would i figure out the amount of treasure bundles?

Thank you for your help PAZ42 <3

Yes! You never lose access once you have gained it. Exactly as you said, you can purchase any item on your chronicle sheet that is 2 levels above your character level, even if you have to wait and level up before you can buy it.

Great, thank you!

For everyone else who may be confused, I found a very helpful thread here!

If you look at the Beginner Box Sanctioning document (which contained the chronicle sheets), under Applying Credit it says that each PC earns 14 gold pieces. It looks like you don't have to calculate treasure bundles for this game.

You're welcome - any time, and welcome to Pathfinder Society!

You can only apply Beginner Box credit to first-level characters, so you don't need to worry about Treasure Bundles because everybody gets the exact same amount of gold.

Though as each level of the BB essentially counts as one scenario, it does work out to 10 TB. At first level, TB are worth 1.4 gp each.
