Oddly enough, it appears much of the action of this show is going to be in Gangnam.
The show dropped for streaming on Amazon yesterday - first two episodes. The main characters are a soldier and his girlfriend. He and his fellow soldiers are stationed on the very top levels of a high rise hotel in Seoul, as part of an air defense group. She's trying to get to him to discuss their relationship. And that's when the zombiepocalypse explodes.
The show is trying to go the humorous zombie route. It's not super funny to me, but still enjoyable. I find myself rooting for the main female protagonist (Jisoo from the Kpop group Blackpink) to be one of the few survivors. Along with the Master Sergeant of the soldiers, and a very frustrated young lady who works at the hotel where the soldiers are stationed.

Most people in zombie shows act stupidly and end up tasting delicious. This show is no different than most. I think they've got people acting even more foolishly, but the intended purpose is supposed to be comedic. By the end of the episode, the soldiers involved are finally starting to figure out the whole "just shoot them in the head" part. They've still got to work on the whole "don't get too close to someone who's been bitten since they're going to turn" part.
At one point, my daughter emerged from her room because she thought I had called her name. I had to explain to her I was just yelling at the idiots on TV.
The show did confirm the outbreak is happening on multiple continents, and that it appears to have started in Europe and the USA. And they covered all the bases in the brief conspiracy theory recap of how it all started.

Cool. I was expecting some twist to the usual zombie lore in this show, and it delivered. The heroine and her travelling companions, while trying to make it to the soldiers, came across a dude who had been bitten but not turned. And the zombies seemed to be ignoring him. So they concluded it was because he was thoroughly intoxicated. They then proceeded to all get drunk and wander the zombie infested streets.
Between the heroine and the other chick (the hotel employee hanging with the soldiers), I have the two people I'm cheering for to survive.

Damnit! They finally bring back a character that had become one of my favorites, the hotel manager, only to reveal he's been bitten. Still, he inadvertently discovered the whole alcohol slows the infection bit (this show's twist on the usual Hollywood zombie lore). Still, it's funny to watch him dance around through the zombie horde.
Otherwise, they still have the characters doing stupid crap, with occasional smart moves.
Jisoo from Blackpink had an epic zombie kill - trapped in the subway tunnel with the train moving past, and she shoves the zombie's head into the train. Kind of ground it down.
And how the hell do zombies get into the ventilation system?

I ask again....how do zombies get into the ventilation system? The least they could have done is answer that.
The show is adding some more traditional bits now. They've got the guy who is slowly losing it. They've got the guy who's concealing the fact he was bitten.
The show also continues to be kind of weird. The main male character ends up trapped in a kind of gift shop on one of the hotel's upper floors. Still several floors from ground level. The gift shop he's in has a giant, fluff bear costume. So he put's it on hoping it will cushion him enough to survive the jump to the street. Not something you typically see in a zombie show.

Well, the show ended last night. It was kind of happy. All the people I wanted to see survive did. Some of the folk I wanted to get eaten did not. And they left off with a potential for a Season 2.
And there was a ghost. Which was cool.
Overall, the series was a bit silly. Never taking itself too seriously. Which, in a way, was refreshing. If they do another season, I'll probably watch it.
