I would like to clarify - what to do with the absence of the A4 encounter map? Without it, increasing the threat zone does not make the slightest sense (as well as the fact that players can simply run out of there and calmly neutralize the circle, because deodons (according to the description) are not able to get out of it. How did you solve this problem?

I like running things like that without a map anyway.
Spend an action to stride in or out of the circle. Need to be in it to disable. (Expect for Dispel Magic, a nice advantage to using a resource)
If you found it helpful to have a map instead it'd be easy enough to draw a circle on a map and track exact positioning.
Also A4 seems to be missing scaling information?
