Unchained barbarian with amplified rage

Rules Questions

What happens if an unchained barbarian uses his rage together with the amplified rage feat.

What happens?
does he just get a +4 to strength and constitution?

RAW he gets zilch, because he has no morale bonus to increase. But giving him a +4 morale bonus to Str and Con would be perfectly reasonable and probably closer to RAI.

So there is sadly no rewrite for things like that? Weird but I guess that's paizo. I'll use your solution then

It's already a pretty crappy feat to begin with because it requires someone else in the party to have rage, be raging, be next to or flanking with you, and have also decided to pick up this feat.

If you had a party made up of Half-Orc barbarians its great...for a more typical adventuring party you probably shouldn't bother.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

yeah, that's why I go half-orc and take 2 levels of eldritch guardian with a valet familiar and amplified rage and sympathetic rage. Now your familiar gets the teamwork feat for free and the combat feat to rage when you do for free.
Maybe it isn't most efficient, but it's funny and works.

It's a pretty spectacular feat, you just need to build for it. My favorite method is to get any sort of mount, take the Ferocious Mount rage power, and give it a horsemaster's saddle. But this also makes a bloodrager dip wonderful for skalds if they grab a valet bloodline familiar and Amplified Rage.
