Paizo staff writers: Which AP chapters that you wrote do you consider your favorite?

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

I've always been curious as to which adventures the writers have been most proud of or consider their favorite.
1E or 2E, AP chapter or adventure.

Hoping to see some of the older names too.
Thanks for your time.

3.5 Pathfinder: Burnt Offerings
1st Edition Pathfinder: A Song of Silver (closely followed by Souls for Smuggler's Shiv)
2nd Edition Pathfinder: A tie between Malevolence and Seven Dooms for Sandpoint
Remastered 2nd Edition Pathfinder: Can't talk about any of those I'm working on yet!

I most often enjoy writing heists, investigations, and urban exploration.

PF1—War for the Crown #131: Chapter 2
PF2—Age of Ashes #149: Chapter 2 and Sky King's Tomb #193: Chapter 1
Pathfinder Society—#6-98: Serpents Rise
Starfinder Society—#1-09: Live Exploration Extreme! and #3-04: Falling into Deliverance
Other Adventures—Pathfinder One-Shot: Mark of the Mantis

PF1-Lords of Rust (Nicholas Logue) One of my favorite BBEG's in a book and really nailed the sci-fi vibe of Numeria. Also did a great job setting up the rest of the AP imo.
PF2- Ready? Fight! (David N. Ross) High-level play is really fun and this brings home how creative fights in a fighting tournament can be in a fantasy setting. Exploring Goka was fun and cannot recommend the entire AP to my friends

Abomination Vaults - Hands of the Devil... Chapter 2. There are several awesome NPC interactions there. Shadow Malicious!!

Outlaws of Alkenstar - Punks in a Powderkeg... Also Chapter 2 because Gattlebee is such a nerd with all these humorous traps, plus the place he insists on taking you.

Rusthenge... The first chapter is my fave. Lots of RP and investigation, plus a fortress dungeon you can enter from the front door, secret entrance, or jump deon from a cliff above!

Unannounced for 2024: The final chapter. Most memorable thing I've ever written.

I enjoyed Chapter 2 of Abomination Vaults a lot! I think the encounter with Urevian is one of the high points of the whole AP.

That is likely my fave AP book I've gotten to play. Hat tip to you. Terrific stuff.

James Jacobs: "I like #1, #100, and #200" smiles.

Good. Round. Numbers.

[For what it's worth, "Souls for Smuggler's Shiv" was so good that the rest of the SS AP was, tbh, pretty awful in comparison after that amazing intro. Sometimes, there's just no way for the rest-of-the-play to live up to the first Act.]
