So…..this movie was inspired by real-life events. Apparently, back in 1985, a smuggler dumped his load of cocaine out his plane because of weights issues. A black bear found the cocaine, at it, and died. They found about 75 lbs of it in the bear’s stomach. The bear, since named Pablo Escobear, was stuffed and mounted, then donated for display. Then it got lost, was found in a pawnshop and purchased by Waylon Jennings, and eventually ended up in some Kentucky mall.
