Pathfinder Society Archtype

Is it possible to have an assassin archtype in Society play? Per the APG, it says that most assassin's are evil, but that SOME have a moral code to rid Golarion of evil. It does not list a requirement for the PC to be evil.

I believe in PFS1 that you could not play an assassin, but not for sure with PFS2. I looked everywhere and unless I'm missing it, I would think there is no restriction to the archtype as long as the alignment is not evil.

Thoughts?

There is no alignment requirement on the Assassin archetype.

The archetype is Common, and per the Character Options Page entry on the APG, it is standard availability. You can absolutely use that archetype, if you like.

In PFS1 you could not play an Assassin... unless you had a very rare Charity Auction Boon that allowed you to play a Red Mantis character. I have only heard one player ever mention having this boon.

Everybody is correct.

In PFS1, the Assassin Prestige Class was difficult to access, due to its "Any evil" Alignment Requirement.

In PFS2, the Assassin Archetype has no such requirement, and it's Common. Anybody who meets its prerequisites can select it.

The Red Mantis Assassin Archetype is now the difficult Character Option to acquire in PFS2.
