So, were playing Attack of the Swarm and we came across a Swarm Enemy, now some of us are new to starfinder or never had a fight with a swarm, now I know Starfinder is based off Pathfinder.
IN ruling on pathfinder it was ruled that fire or energy like damage does do damage and this was confirmed by James Jacobs (below link shows this), to be honest swarms are seem to be a dumb rule to me, you would do damage to them, with a large amount of resistances (how I personally would rule it)

I want to know does this same rule apply since basically the rules on both rulesets seem similar and was basically based off Pathfinder anyway, will this transfer to starfinder.
Thanks

No, this isn't a Starfinder rule, and is not relevant at all to Starfinder. The context really isn't the same, either, when energy damage is everywhere in SF.
If you would prefer to houserule energy damage being somehow special against swarms, and think it would be better for your game and your table, then absolutely do. That doesn't need to be justified by anything.
