Is there any bullies in at the Magaambya

I've only looked at the first book, so I 'm not sure.

Not really, no. The closest *might* be Onyiji from book 3, but only because she's arrogant and challenges a PC to spar with her. Of course, you can play any NPC however you want, or even make one up to fit the role.

Bullying would go against the Magaambya's purpose of doing the most good it can in the world. Any instance of it would probably lead to intervention/academic suspension, if not straight-up expulsion.

In the campaign I've just started, a couple of my players have made repeated references to potential "rival students", and really like the idea of playing with some of those school tropes... possible prank wars, dance battles (There are canonical "dance courts" in Nantambu), and maybe something darker down the road.

Since I'm planning to veer off Strength of Thousands book 1 into my homebrew campaign, I figured it would be useful to set up some rivals in the school for the party to form some emotional connection to, with the potential for them to become more serious antagonists (or allies) in the bigger plot to come.

Upshot, that's why I spent a few days this week making an enemy party who live in the "Shade Dormitory". And giving them elaborate backstories. And heroforge mini designs.
