I've been dealing with Paizo for over 3 years now and have never had to pay to Customs for an order coming into Canada.
I am assuming someone in your warehouse made a mistake. I refused the order. I'm already paying your company $51.65 for shipping and handling for an order valued at $125.75. You did give me a $10 discount.
Let me know if I should expect to pay for customs in the future because it will be the end of my subs. You can then refund me because I refuse to now have to pay Customs on top of very high Shipping and Handling costs for a box that weighs less than 5 lbs (3 AP adventures, 1 non-AP adventure and 1 lost omens book) and takes 2 weeks to cross the border.
If you can fix the Customs issue you can reship the order (at your expense as I have already payed).
Thank You.

Unfortunately, this is outside of our control. When packages enter the Canadian postal system, they may be inspected and have additional fees applied. If the products in a package are not categorized correctly (ie labeled toys instead of books), we can adjust that, but we are not able to predict when or if a individual package will be pulled aside for inspection and application of customs fees or other taxes.
If you have additional questions regarding which items may be subject to additional fees when being shipped to Canada, I would recommend following up with the Canada Border Services Agency.
Refusing delivery due to being charged customs fees is not something that we would generally refund shipping costs for, as it is an optional action taken by a customer. Since we cannot be sure future packages will also have fees added when crossing into Canada, I've gone ahead and cancelled your subscriptions and left a note on the order to refund the items when the package is returned to our warehouse. If you decide to continue your subscriptions, please send an email to customer.service at paizo.com and we can reinstate them.
Please note: orders may be subject to taxes or fees even if the retailer, customs, border service, or delivery service, etc. does not apply them in advance of delivery. For more information on when or if an international shipment to Canada would required self-reporting and payment of customs taxes or fees, you would want to follow up with the CBSA.
