New subscription duplicates

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Questions abound from a very-new apprentice:

  • 1. Do the subscriptions rotate back through a list of items? The core rulebook, advanced player's guide, and several others are part of the rulebook subscription but there is nothing I have found that indicates when or if you would catch up on previous orders or if you have to order them separately.
  • 2.(Assuming question 1 is yes they do rotate) Does Paizo keep track of what has been sent already and automatically suspend shipment if the item is already owned? Such as if the core rulebook was sent as part of a subscription and is due to send out again the list.
  • 3. How can you get started with a subscription to include previous issues of the current series. Such as the time of writing this, the SF Adventure Path sub offers a choice of starting with #38: Crash & Burn (Fly Free or Die 5 of 6) (available now) or #39: Crash & Burn (Fly Free or Die 6 of 6) (not available yet). I don't want to start my sub in the middle of a series unless I can back track to 1 of 6 without incurring duplicates at some point in the future.
  • 4. If I start a rulebook subscription, is the core rulebook automatically sent as the first order? I saw where I can choose the currently available item or the next planned item but not the core rulebook as an option.
  • 5. If I order the core book separately will I end up with 2 copies?
  • 6. Same questions with other rulebooks...(ex: Advanced Player's Guide: When do I get or duplicate if ordered separate?)

(usually it's a bad idea to write additional messages in threads, since the CS team goes through the threads from oldest to newest, but since this is the newest thread anyway I'll be so free, since I had subscriptions for a while now)

The subscriptions don't rotate back. You get the item you signed up for, and then every future item automatically. The PDF is added to your account as your payment method is charged, which is usually when the shipping label is printed and the package ready to leave the paizo warehouse.
You can cancel a subscription by contacting customer service.

It's not possible to get past items through the subscription service, I'm afraid you'll have to buy the backlog manually.

Hope that helps!
