Does anyone remember an AD&D adventure where you started without a class? You were just normal people that kind of assumed a class based on what you did in the adventure. I think I remember you were all shipwrecked on a Wizard’s island or something ....

I can’t remember the name and it’s driving me crazy!!

Goodman Games Dungeon Crawl Classics "Funnel Adventures" start out with all players running 4 0-level PCs. As you progress, most of them are going to die, but the ones that don't improve enough to end the advenutre as L1 characters.

My favorite example of that is Sailors on the Starless Sea. And another kicker: In the climax, your L1 characters will face off against a demon lord!
