Swamp Thing

Television

I haven't watched the third episode yet, but just off the first two they've introduced Blue Devil (well, actor/stuntman Dan Cassidy...so far Blue Devil has only appeared as a movie poster and as laptop wallpaper) and not-yet-floronic Jason Woodrue, along with other supporting cast members who will be familiar to comics fans.

I was never more than an occasional reader of Swamp Thing -- and that in the 70's -- so I have no particular expectations the show needs to live up to. I didn't watch the 80's movies or the first series in the 90's.

It's early yet, but so far so good.

I started to watch this on the CW via my DVR (the only reason I kept it). Sadly, prior to the third episode rolling around, we had lost power. Since we almost never watch regular TV, I had forgotten to reset the boxes, and the show didn't record.

So, now I've given up on it. Which is cool. After two episodes, I found it long on swamp and short on thing.

I'm caught up with the CW airing, but have to agree, not enough Swamp Thing. He's the secondary character in his own show. I can see that they're possibly setting up bigger events for him to be more involved in, but it's getting to be a slog to get there. And the secondary characters aren't good enough to hold their own on the show.

@Aberzombie, I haven't checked but it is likely streaming on the CW Seed app for free a day after it airs if you want to catch up.
