Doppelganger Race / Character / Equipment advice

Homebrew and House Rules

I have an idea for a doppelganger PC, but am having some difficulty. Thus far, I've based the character's base stats off of the ones from the bestiary (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/monstrous-humanoids/dop pelganger/ ), but I'm a little unclear what I should put in terms of racial traits and preferred class. Could/should I substitute the doppelganger's special abilities for racial traits?

In terms of equipment, based on the doppelganger's weird physiology, I was thinking of using needles (poisoned or otherwise) hidden inside the mass of his forearms for stealth attacks, similar to those used by Tesshu Fujioka from Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven, or a hidden blade from the Assassin's Creed series. What kind of damage dice would I be using for that? Would I need to invest in poison resistance to carry poison needles this way?

As for the character I had in mind, I was thinking of a slayer. Basically, the doppelganger in question was found/taken in as a child by an inquisitor to a lawful good deity. It was then raised/used by the inquisitor as an infiltrator, interrogator, and torturer (e.g. imagine being tortured by something able to read your mind and perfectly mimic your mother). These experiences left the doppelganger with a strong moral code (and more than a little f*$~ed up in the head). Since the death of it's inquisitor, the doppelganger has been wandering around as a vigilante, surreptitiously hunting down, torturing, and making public examples of violent criminals. Based on it's connections with the inquisitor, it may or may not also use a certain persona to collaborate with law enforcement.

I'm still relatively new to Pathfinder, and would greatly appreciate any feedback.
