So... where are the combiners?

Mech

You know how we got combining robots with Power Rangers and Voltron? Yeah... where's that option?

Dark Archive

Probably in release version since introducing it in playtest would be too many variables.

I haven't read survey questions, but I'd assume they want people to test having multiple mechs split between party and having one mech to party and how they work compared to each other.

When you merge mechs you will have the same problem as with starship combat (at least even more than now).

One person making the decisions, the others just supplying the actions and watching.
You can alternate each round, but the more operators you have the longer people have to watch.
Or you let everyone do/roll their action but that makes full actions problematic as it might rob someone of his action

Wayfinders

Or, hey, like we do in starship combat around where I am, they can cooperatively decide on a plan of action.

That's not going to happen at every table. The possibility of it not happening is a weakness of the the six operator mech.

If the players are unable to cooperate for the mutual enjoyment of all, you have deeper problems that no mechanical change can fix.
