So I subscribe to a few little things and I get a handy email telling me my subscription order has been processed. I'm wondering if it'd be possible to get an email when the free PDFs for being a subscriber are added to my account so I'm not checking-and-rechecking my download library like a mad man.

It should already work that way. Each month for your subscriptions you should automatically get two emails: the first one says your order has processed (and has a status of pending), then (potentially weeks later given COVID slowdowns at this point) a second one saying your order has been shipped. Your PDFs are added to your account when you get that second email.
