Not a problem. I, too, am slowly working through an adventure on my own, but using D&D 5e. Its to test out the second dungeon of Thornkeep before I run it with my players who haven't played 5e yet. I ran the first dungeon for them in Pathfinder, but I asked if they would try 5e to see if they like it as it runs more quickly, which would work better for a group that doesn't play but once a month, and whose numbers run from 3-8 players each session.

Solo play testing the dungeon using D&D 5E before the players try it sounds like a good idea. From my own experience with Pathfinder and D&D 5E, it does run more quickly. With your schedule and group size that makes sense.
