crew quarters in ships

I am returning to the SF ship rules and have forgotten a few things.

When selecting crew quarters, is it assumed that one BP purchase for crew quarters accommodates the maximum crew members possible for the ship frame?

Which ever level of crew quarters you buy, it provides quarters for all crew members up to the maximum crew size.
