Customer Service

I've tried sending emails about my purchase problem and have just recently tried to call them, all to no avail as no one from Paizo is listening to my requests for help.

So now, I have no choice whatsoever but to say that I will give Paizo 24 hours in order to rectify this situation or I will be asking my Bank for a chargeback and in all cases like this, they deal with it as fraud.

I have no choice, you've left me with no options.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As noted in the red box at the top of the messageboards, the Paizo offices are closed due to the pandemic, so there is no one there to answer the phone lines.

Customer Service is working on the inbox from home, but as of the last update given before the holiday weekend, they had only gotten up to emails received April 26th, which is almost a month before you had your issue.

So, yeah, they haven't gotten to you yet. That said, I am at least 97% sure that the charge you saw on your bank account was a temporary authorization* and not a charge. (If you didn't get an invoice and an order number and the website told you the transaction was declined, the order didn't go through.) Contacting your bank should not be a problem for the bank, for you, or for Paizo.

Are you aware that you can access the 2e rules for free online as a stopgap until the issue is straightened out (or permanently, if you decide you don't trust Paizo.com with your purchase)?

An authorization is a non-monetary transaction that merely checks with your bank to ensure that the card is valid and has sufficient funds. Again, no money is charged to the card until we ship your order.

However, at the discretion of your bank, an authorization can (and almost always will) put a hold on that amount of your credit. The duration of this hold is entirely up to your bank. If you are checking your balance via online banking, this authorization may show up as a "pending transaction" (or it may not show up at all). We do not have any control over the duration of these holds.

An authorization will only remain open for a set period of time that depends on your bank's policies. For debit cards, an authorization will usually expire in 1–5 days, while a credit card's hold can remain open for up to 30 days (again, the duration of these holds depends upon the card issuer's policy).

It's been squared away, all's taken care of. How do I delete this topic?

you can’t yourself, but you can flag it for the staff to deal with it x use the ‘flag’ option at the top, and choose a flag - probably breaks other guidelines. This will highlight into the team, who will read what is here, and probably delete the thread.
