According to the info covering the trinirs and their homeworld, Ashypso, in The Forever Reliquary, the planet's thaw and their subsequent emergence took place the year the Swarm invaded the Suskillon system.

Where does that put the trinirs' awakening in the context of Attack of the Swarm!'s chronology? How long has the conflict with the Swarm on Suskillon been by the start of the AP? Have the trinirs just shown up, which could make things interesting if a trinir PC decided to join the SDF, since if the system's other worlds fall the Swarm will come for Ashypso and wipe out their civilization before it even starts? Or are they emerging over the course of the AP, meaning they missed the war? Do rhey emerge AFTER the end of the AP?

If I remember correct, the invasion on Suskillon go on for several weeks, if not months when the AP starts.

honestly, i think them thawing out in the middle of the AP is pretty limiting. i told my Players to take a look at them... and while I thought they were crows, one of them pointed out that Trinirs, are in fact, cyborg penguins.

the mystery deepens.
