Hi,

Am I able to purchase the PDF version of things like the core rule book without purchasing the physical copy?

You definitely *should* be able to. Each book listing in the Paizo store should have both an "Add Print/Hardcopy" link as well as an "Add PDF" link. A few things don't: minis, card decks, dice, duh, etc... but all the "regular" book items should support both (as do most flip maps). In fact, it looks like most of the Starfinder rule book PDFs are on sale for $7.49@ right now :)


I have tried several times, the last time was earlier today to make a purchase and I keep getting transaction declined. I have tried my debit and credit card and both have not been able to go through. I have the available funds in my debit account and I checked with my credit card company and they stated that I should be able to purchase from your site with their card. Also they did not show any records of the transaction attempt being sent to their system. I am able to make purchases with the debit and credit card online with other merchants. I have also tried accessing your site using the Firefox and Chrome browsers in case it was an issue with accessing your site to make purchases from a specific browser. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have the items that I want to purchase in my shopping cart...

I'm not with Paizo (though, if you're hiring and looking for someone with both RPG *and* software development experience. gimme a ring!), but as a regular frequenter of these forums, I'd say you've got a 90% chance of having a discrepancy with the store's address verification system (between what Paizo and your bank have as your billing address... it can be VERY picky about the slightest difference, sometimes).

For anything more specific, you'll likely either have to wait for Customer Support to get to this thread (pro-tip: I'd recommend against posting to it too many more times, as every post pushes back to the "end of the line") or send in an email. Unfortunately, either way, it'll probably be a frustrating amount of time before your turn due to pandemic delays :(

You sure can! If you navigate to the product page, right below the physical purchase option, there will be an option to add the PDF version to your cart on its own.

I have tried to purchase multiple times and the transaction won't go through (See my post from Monday in this thread). In addition to actions described there, I have also verified with my debit and CC companies the address they have on file is the exact same as what I am using on your site (including the extra 4 digits for the zip code). I would really like to purchase the Starfinder material while it is on sale and am hoping I can speak to someone to ensure that the transaction can actually go through.

Hello Rockmono,

We can definitely get you set up with that. The card processor is telling us there's a descrepency between the billing address we have and what the bank has, like what lonejedi said. Sometimes there's a weird disconnect between us and the bank, so if you can send us the previous billing address for this card via, we can see if that works better. The email address is customer.service@paizo.com.
