Hey guys, me and one of my friends are gonna make a solo plot, and im gonna play solo, i mostly want to know any advice on going solo, and maybe essential magic items, and which items i should get first, ill be starting at 5th level with 5k gold, in terms of classes and race, we are doing something homebrow.
So to boil it down, i want help with items, and maybe general tips on going solo.

This is one of the (few) situations where a summoner is viable.
Another possibility is to ask your GM to let you play a gestalt (i.e. two classes in the same character). Although this doesn't give you the power of two characters, it allows you to be more flexible, with more options in any given situation.

Always keep an escape route open. Never fight unprepared and run away if you ever find yourself in this situation.
Max Initiative and/or find ways to act outside of Initiative. If you go last you're as good as dead since it's practically impossible to be immune to all debilitating conditions. It's enough to roll one natural 1 to get dogpiled.
As for items, 5k isn't really enough to start picking up Immunities or condition removal. Just go for the standard items and a healing wand.

Some of the biggest problems with solo games are action economy, losing initiative, resource management, and not having the right skills to advance the plot.
In general, for solo games, I like dex builds with plenty of skills and familiar or animal companion.
My top choices are:
Bonded investigator
Magus
Witch
Edit: Also anything that helps with saving throws. Failing a save can be game ending.

If your GM is allowing alternative rule sets, I'd recommend something like a Psion Egoist (Psychometabolist). You have a good mix of defense, offense, and healing with the Egoist as well as some abilities (like metamorphosis) that can fit any play style.

If you want a more versatile offensive type, a Kineticist is good for that. They aren't limited to a single pre-determined energy type on their offense powers, but can change it on the fly w/o needing a full round action to do so.
I'd also recommend stealth be your top priority followed by initiative as others have said. Stealth can let you get a devastating first attack in before your foes even know you're there...or just sneak past w/o alerting anyone.

As mentioned, Summoners and classes with Animal Companions would be great here. Anything that gets another fighter on the field can be the difference between living or dying.
Sadly, Summoners are a Cha based class and most Animal Companion classes are Wis based. So if you do get to gestalt, that could make for a MAD situation with those classes.
Perhaps Summoner and Bard for a gestalt? Both are Cha classes and your Inspire Courage would work on the Eidolon.

You should talk to your GM about what types of challenges you're likely to face, and listen carefully to what they say!
Without further information, I would suggest a skill-focused character that's decent in combat, such as a Swashtigator (Inspired Blade Swashbuckler 1/Investigator X). You want to prioritize defense over offense. A Summoner is another possibility, although you might lack the right skills, depending on the nature of the adventure.
The one item I would strongly consider is an Aegis of Recovery, since dropping unconscious might well be fatal.
