Season five of NCIS started last night, and to be honest I felt a little let down. Granted I was glad to see that the old team will be getting back together as of next week, but the conclusion to the shake up from last season's finale seemed a little rushed and forced. The situation with Agent Lee was a big let down because up until now I have really enjoyed her character and the relationship between her and Jimmy Palmer.

I am wondering who she works for though. My guess is either the Russians or the Iranians. Having an Asian character work for North Korea or China seems a little obvious. It would be even more interesting if her loyalty was only to the highest bidder.

I told my roommates that it would be a gutsy move if Lee was the agent, precisely because of the developments we've seen with her. I'd like to see more of her (no, not that way, though she is cute) and see her develop as almost a foil for Ziva. Ziva's hot, lethal, and looks it. Lee, cute, doesn't look lethal, and specializes in looking harmless. I just hope she doesn't fade into oblivion, instead we continue to see her helping NCIS with work, while advancing her own agenda. It would be more fun if she helps break 'case of the week' one episode then does something to hide evidence, or makes a 'clerical error' that the team accepts as 'can't win them all' and she gets away.

The character went from piece of fluff to credible threat, in one episode.

Yeah, in a way I'm glad it went down the way it did, because of the time we have invested in the character. Any other way would have been a bigger let down than it was. I guess I would have liked to see more of the new team working together building toward the reveal, rather than rushing it through in the first episode like they did.

I would have liked the spy story to go on a bit more... Also I like the FBI guy

I was amused to see him on NCIS because of 7 days. I would like to see him get some more work, his is a broad actor.

The wife and I have been fans of this show for a long time. I think it's partly because of work. I also happen to be a Mark Harmon fan, so there's that.

Anyway, the episode last night was wild.

I did not see that coming! Two deaths! Yeah, they were recurring characters, but major recurring characters. I wasn't surprised they killed off Ziva's dad - kind of saw it coming. But Director Vance's wife? WTF?!? That's just mean.

Yeah, and next weeks episode looks to have a body count. Not only did you kill Ziva's father (granted, she wasn't on the best terms with) but you killed Director Vance's wife? Hell is going to be booked for the next two weeks dealing with the backlog of dead bad guys.

Season 10 debuts in the UK tonight..thank god something worth watching again.
