My players founded their first city, two of sessions ago, and naturally, their first settlers were predominantly Rostlanders. I've been trying to flesh out Rostland, to give my players a flavorful citizenry to interact with. From what I've read, if Issia is basically Westeros with less impressive house mottoes(sorry Paizo), then Rostland is a landlocked Braavos, full of brash swordsmen(and women!), bright clothing, and posturing.
Since Rostland was founded by Taldan explorers, and presumably has a history of interacting with Issia, I would assume the culture would be a mix of greek and slavic influences, perhaps with Macedonian inspired names, folk music, andand cuisine?
Any suggestions/recommendations?

If I remember correctly (either from the AP or one of the guides) Most rostlanders as fairly proud farmers - who bristle at the slightest insults. Their leaders will likely be fighters with e Sword Scion trait - with a few real Aldori (fairly Low level) thrown i for good measure.
Your PCs had better be polite, or you (as GM) had better be prepared for some fights. :)
