Looking for suggestions on how to replace table tents with "monster cards"

5th Edition (And Beyond)

When I DM, I like to drape cardstock monster tents over my DM screen to keep track of initiative order in combat, give my players a picture of the monster they're fighting, and help me with a quick reference to the monster stats.

The problem is that these monster tents take time to create, which I don't have a lot of. So I'm eyeing the recently announced "Monster Cards" from Gale Force 9 as a substitute, and trying to figure out how to attach them to my DM screen.

The best thing I've found so far is these "Merchandise Sign Display Mini Clips" from Amazon, but they seem over-engineered for the task. I'm looking for something simpler and robust. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'd have thought a simple paperclip (probably one each side) if you want them to stay firmly put, or a sprung clothes peg (gripping end facing up and holding the bottom of the card and just sat over the top of the screen) if you need to move them more and the screen is quite stable.

I’m not sure what size the monster cards are going to be, but when I’ve used paizo’s face cards I stick two card sleeves together in a “V shape” with the openings along the spine. Then I can hang them over my screen, the card showing to the players with NPC names and keywords facing me.

If you wanted to utilise both sides of these cards you’d need two decks, of course.

Thank you. I'll look into those.
